I rewatched part of the UNC vs Stanford game from last January. Clardy has a nice 3pt shot with a good
rotation. She can drive it to the rim and seems physically strong.

We should have a team that one through four can attack the rim plus we also have spot up shooters.

I think if we are as good defensively and have good chemistry we will be better than last season.
That was my read on Clardy, the rest of the transfers, and the team. It seems to be no coincidence that Coach went after 2 guards that could both be a real threat but also slash, drive and get to the basket. And I understand the thought behind that approach- we've all seen the far too many times when our offense stalls out and we can't buy a basket. (LG and to some extent EA developed the skills to attack last year down the stretch which saved us and which we haven't had much of the past few years).

There are too many good defensive teams we'll have to compete with that we'll need to multiple ways to score. And as we know, when your shooters can drive, that helps to get them a bit more space - at least thats what the logic says. And it goes the other way too - if the drivers can't really shoot, they pack the lane.

Fingers crossed, we'll have more offensive weapons that can put the ball in the hoop.

Fingers crossed, we'll have more offensive weapons that can put the ball in the hoop. We do not need to have our fingers crossed when this year's team takes the floor. We have already discuss this. The problem that we had last year occurred when we played against the elite teams. LG and EA could not get it done when we played against the elite teams. NH and IN did. Case in point, against UCONN, IN was the only guard strong enough to handle their physicality. EA and LG could not. I am sorry, but these two did not show up against the top elite teams, bottom line. CB and staff for the past two years have finally figured it out about getting players from the portal. Notice all the transfers coming in all played at a P5 school not from the mid major nor from the Ivey league but from VA, Stanford, and Syracuse. These three are also seasoned that have experienced which is another plus. They are stronger and taller which is another plus. I told yall that Clardy was legit and I pinned an article about her coming from the head coach at Stanford for yall the read. 3ptthreat, if you go back and read the article, Stanford's head coach stated exactly what Clardy is going to bring. She can play both the point guard and two guard positions. She can shoot, she is physically and her defense and steals rate was right behind IN. I do not remember exactly where I posted it but you can find it by googling it. Go Heels!

"Cannot wait to see this girl in Carolina Blue"

When will seapines scold our official Twitter account for using that allegedly inappropriate sexist term.
