Comparing the dislike of Christian Laettner to Bill Liambeeer

I didn't want to infringe on the other 30-30 thread of Christian Laettner so I made a new post.

Just curious here----how do my fellow Dukie's think the non Duke basketball fans dislike/hatred of Christian Laettner compares to that of Bill Lambeer while a pro playing for the Detroit Pistons? I would think the general public was much more aware of Laettner then Laimbeer.

I greatly disliked Lambeer when he played pro ball and probably wouldn't like him much today. He was the meanest I can remember.

Laettner was a better player, comparatively speaking. So, IMO, that means the hatred runs a little deeper with Christian.

Christian was a smart *** who then beat your *** with his play. Laimbeer was a smart *** who just wanted to beat your ***.

I thought Laimbeer always got a bad rap for just being a tough guy when he really could shoot, pass and rebound. But I for one never hated him because I tended to pull against the other teams he was always playing against.
