+1. VPNs and GoToMyPC are not rocket science.

Attended a graduate-level course on teleworking around 10 years ago. It all revolves around trust and accountability.
I work on contract from home. All my folks need is my email addy and they abuse the hell out of that level of impersonal delegation.

Ask me if they sent extra "just-in-case it snows here" work on Monday. I dare you.

Ya'll bitching need some perspective. Where I lived it'd be this temperature for 3 months straight and nobody batted an eye. Canceling school??? LMAO. Pussies. Either grow a sack, go inside, or dress warmer. Pretty GD simple.

Assuming that the people in the area (the children mainly) are dressed for the temperatures. Extended periods of time at these cold temperatures is not normal for this area. So most people are not prepared.

It's kind of like a freak snowstorm in Atlanta. The city isn't prepared for snow, so chaos breaks out.
