I only complain about the weather when its 95 & humid.

Attended a graduate-level course on teleworking around 10 years ago. It all revolves around trust and accountability.

I work on contract from home. All my folks need is my email addy and they abuse the hell out of that level of impersonal delegation.

Ask me if they sent extra "just-in-case it snows here" work on Monday. I dare you.

Honestly in Louisville it’s been cold, but there has been no wind and no snow. It’s really not that bad. With no wind and snow it’s really more brisk than anything if you are dressed properly.

Ummm, no. It's effing freezing outside. Most of my crews work outside. They are physically beaten down right now.

Just called a client in Minneapolis, she told me "it has warmed up some here, it is up to zero".

Puts our misery in perspective.

Assuming that the people in the area (the children mainly) are dressed for the temperatures. Extended periods of time at these cold temperatures is not normal for this area. So most people are not prepared.

It's kind of like a freak snowstorm in Atlanta. The city isn't prepared for snow, so chaos breaks out.
