I can agree with that, but there is a disconnect here. If they learned anything, I hope that it was that Winning is Fun and Losing Sucks!

By 5th/6th grade, in modern society, we've already been done with the "learning over winning" stage for 3 or 4 years of these kids lives. I'm all for teaching to have a competitive drive in all aspects of your life, but youth sports at the lower levels isn't one of them.
