Gaines was placed on Bohanan but his defense had a momentary lapse. At least Collins put our best defender on him.
Im also wary of watching Turner implode as a PG under FCP.
Why isnt Greer inserted in those situations as he has the best ball handling skills.
NU admin got Collins good with the Lathan boot but we shouldnt have come into any season with 0 PGs and 10 wings.
The announcer, Robbie Hummel pulled his best Tony Romo and was explaining that the NU players arent making iowa commit when they were doing the press. I learned how to break the press just by Hummel explaning. Obviously our players havent been taught core principles.I'm a big fan of Greer but if you've watched all the games this year, you've seen him turn it over on the full court press. Breaking the press is about positioning and decision making, as much as handle. No doubt Greer has the best handle, but he's a frosh and has made poor decisions.

I really think that Turner has been the biggest disappointment of all. Followed by Kopp and Nance. Most teams with highly ranked freshman are able to get something out of them. I know Nance is out now.Thank you!!
Doesn't it say enough that none of us disagree Law as a so-so ball handler is our best option at the lead guard? Who else are you going to go to?
Turner is awful. Taylor isn't even trusted to be part of the press break.
With a bit of a stretch, I could see Greer for now. But you're going to lose something with him. Do you really want to go into the last two minutes of a tight game with Pardon, Gaines, Law, Greer and Taylor/Turner?
