It will be interesting to see the polls later today. Last week, the AP poll had us at #18 and the USA Today Coaches poll had us at #20.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats are a clear Top 10 team according to the computer indexes.

We’re a 3 seed in the latest ESPN bracket. The main this is keeping it in the top 4 to host games and give us the best path to the Sweet 16.

I think a 3 is fair. As a west coaster and Oregon fan, I see a lot of the Pac-12 and it’s a brutally tough league. So while the numbers like us in the range of Stanford, on the eye test I think we’d still be a decent underdog to them. But our big win over Maryland and competitive road loss gives hope that we could give one of the top teams a good run.

Oregon-Stanford tonight could be one of the best college hoops games of the year, men or women. Oregon likely has 3 of the top 5 picks for the next WNBA draft and I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Stanford won.

Very tough test at Ohio State tomorrow night. Win that and Big Ten regular season title chances are looking good, but the Buckeyes have won 6 of their last 7 and are playing at home. Glad we coasted the final quarter at Wisky while OSU had to go all out in a two point loss at Rutgers.
