Conference Realignment Predictions

Saw this conference realignment article and thought I'd share. Says that TV and apparel money are going to lead to a lot more consolidation with 64 teams left playing in 4 power conferences and the midmajors in a separate FBS subdivision (like FCS). Says some schools currently in the Group Of 5 will move up, programs like Memphis, Cincinnati, Fresno State, based on the size of the TV markets they play in. Obviously that means some power conference teams will be moving to less conferences. Interesting ideas if kinda out there.

In the matter of money, TV sets and traditional + burgeoning rivalries, football and basketball quality, I'd draw up a dream round robin league with less divided revenue and plenty of intrigue for all:

West Virginia
Pitt
Virginia Tech
UConn
Louisville
Kentucky
Michigan
Ohio State
Miami
Fla State

It'll never happen, but that's who I'd love to see home and away, both revenue sports, each and every year.
