I have really only seen some of Zaga play, and that was an L to WVU. So, for some of the people who are having low confidence, what are the reasons? Is it more because of Zaga or more bc of how UK looked last night? Honestly just curious.

If there is some sort of illness with “flu like symptoms “ running through the team as has been discussed on another board, I’d say my confidence is either 0 or 1 depending on the scale.
I was listening to Leach and Givens when we played Georgia State and Leach said then that the team was dealing with illnesses.

24 hours later….I think we bounce back and win assuming everyone is healthy.

I don’t expect Butler and Oweh to struggle w foul trouble again.

I don’t expect to shoot 60% from the line and 25% from 3.

It’ll be a tight game but I expect the styles to matchup better, allowing us to get back on our offensive averages, and ultimately win by 2-7

5 out of 10.

Why?

Because this team has to adapt and change with the dynamics. Teams are better this year.

If the coach can’t get the players to run his system it’s the coaches fault. You’re welcome
Orrr….they’ve played their entire lives in a largely ball screen dominant 1v1 era and they’ve played 1.5 months (8 games together) in an off ball, continuous motion, screen away offense so they reverted to a lifetime of habits when they got uncomfortable and felt they needed to “make something happen” instead of trusting it’ll happen if you keep chipping away strategically. The coaching comes from getting it fixed and full buy-in as the season progresses

What we saw last night should keep everyone a little happy about the team, did not play great, on Clemson floor, did not shoot or get to 50/50 balls much, key guys in foul trouble. Lose by 4. Lets go see how we handle this post loss. Will it turn into 2 losses in a row or will it get guys understanding they are not at Drexel anymore. Just saying.

I’m not sure how to put a numerical value on how I feel. I feel like if this team plays how we have seen them play they will win, 💯 . If they play like they did against Clemson it’ll be another loss, 💯. I am a firm believer no team “needs” a loss to learn a lesson but if they getting comfy with their ranking and winning margin, maybe they can take way it takes work. No one’s gonna rollover for them the rest of the year.

Are we in a mini-rut or is this team not as good from 3 as people thought? In 40% of our games now we've shot less than 30% from 3. Yes, people can quote last year's shooting percentages for a lot of guys, but much of that came against worse, mid-major competition.
So in 60% of our games we’ve shot the three well? Dayton(Brea) plays a good schedule, Carr(Wake) played in the ACC, Robinson(BYU) played in the Big 12, Kriisa(WVU) Big 12, Butler played on a Final four team. Not sure where you guys get we have a bunch of mid major guys. We have 2. And those 2 can play. So yes i think it’s fair to say we’re in a mini-rut. But a seasons worth of stats will tell the tale.

If the team uses this as a learning experience, handles it the right way, I like our chances Saturday
Just don't beat ourselves and shoot well. We will have a chance. They are streaky tho. Go cats! We need a defining win against them. New coach! Let's work and win.
