Congrats to Coach Kooi

I would like to congratulate coach Bret Kooi on getting Lemont to the title game this year. Very good man and it was great to see him in the state mix again.

Lockport got what they wanted I guess when they ran him out. One team went to the title game this year and the other was pretty much out of the playoffs in September...again.

I don't wish this new coach at Lockport ill. But I was mad at the way Lockport crapped on Kooi.

To me it sounds like Lockport has an administration that can't see past there own little controlling world! You have to let a head coach run his own program from the bottom up for it to be successfull. Hey, maybe in the long run they really don't want to be successfull, they don't want the football program to be bigger than the school!

His father Bert was a mentor to me at Ford. Talk about a character who had a love of family above all else.
