Check me if I'm wrong but I always like seeing 1st time state champions! Congrats to the Gibson City Melvin-Sibley Falcons on becoming 2A champs yesterday!

And other than close by Batavia, GCMS had to bring the next largest crowd. I do not know haw for from Dekalb they are or how big these towns are, but WOW! they had huge numbers in the seats

I believe Gibson City, Melvin, and Sibley are near the Pontiac area. They play in the HOI with Dee-Mack, Tri-Valley, Fieldcrest, Ridgeview, etc...

Best thing about those kids, their game wrapped up about 7PM on Friday, at 1:00 on Sat several of those kids switched gears and beat Prairie Central in basketball...
