Space Jam: A New Legacy won three Razzies, including Worst Actor for LeBron.

The movie had a total cost of at least $250 million (a production budget of $150 million and a marketing budget of somewhere in the neighborhood of at least $100 million) and it only grossed $163 million worldwide (in 36 weeks). Theaters got a big chunk of that gross, so overall, at the box office, the movie lost about $150 million. I assume the merchandise and streaming rights put it well into the black, but at the box office, this was a huge bomb.

Anyway.

Congrats.

Poor Lebron just can’t figure out why few like him. Of course his excuse for it holds little water considering most still love Jordan…

Kobe should have been in that movie. Very poor casting.

Kobe has some past things that made him not so desirable

Jordan was a gigantic dickhead and the product of Nike marketing and David Stern's savvy. I think he would've fared worse than LeBron if social media had existed back then.
Possibly, but he stayed away from politics, which is always wise for a universally loved figure.

Things weren't as political for athletes back then. In the HOTTAKE ESPN sports world we currently live, athletes, especially black ones, have to say something. (and you bet your *** M.J. woulda had the same China response for those Nike dollars)

For the record, I love watching M.J. and LeBron play basketball. I just think M.J. is an ******* and LeBron is kind of ignorant.

Also, GOAT arguments are pretty played out and lame. The rules change, styles change, resources change, etc. And who decides on the criteria?

Not going to argue your points as they are valid. Guess I wish we could go back to the days pre social media. I don’t want to know my favorite athletes political views, no matter what they are, any more than they want to hear mine. Those were better days…

Will say Lebron is not just kind of ignorant. Maybe one day he’ll get to page 2 of one his books.

He never went to college and doubt his high school curriculum was all that challenging. The dude is a basketball savant, so he's probably been told how smart and talented he is by everyone his entire life. Not hard to see how ended up with the insufferable lack of self-awareness.

Was just an extra contractual payment to ensure he was in LA. Nothing more. Nothing less. They knew for a fact this had zero market and zero appeal. It was just a way to pay LeBron and AD more to stay in LA

I think it's sort of hilarious that his movie for kids who like basketball and cartoonish action has created several pages of discussion on the catpaw since it's release. I know it's just because BBN suddenly has hate for LeBron, but as I said when it opened, it's a movie for kids of this generation. It ain't meant for us. Hell, our generation had fits over the female Ghostbusters movie too. The bizarre hatred is what's funny about it all.

Lebron is putting up great numbers offensively, but plays zero "D". His Lakers got clapped again tonight. I no longer have any real allegiance to any NBA team, except maybe the Pacers. I loved the Lakers for a long time, until about 3-5 years ago.

Yea. Because the female ghostbuster movie wasn't funny at all.
