Saturday's 6 -0 victory over Marmion was Mt Carmel Defensive Coach David Lenti's 100th shut-out.
Outstanding!
Outstanding!
Sorry MC 63, that’s fake news because half of those shutouts came against schools that aren’t 7A or 8A.Saturday's 6 -0 victory over Marmion was Mt Carmel Defensive Coach David Lenti's 100th shut-out.

Haha classicSorry MC 63, that’s fake news because half of those shutouts came against schools that aren’t 7A or 8A.
Most famous, infamous, unsung assistant who is always the brains behind the operation. He’s one of the best. Still wish Rice had hired him in 95.I’ve got a taste for Carmel corn all of a sudden.
Lenti year after year continues to do a tremendous job.
Sorry MC 63, that’s fake news because half of those shutouts came against schools that aren’t 7A or 8A.
See what he does once he's done teaching this year.
That's what I meant, hahaHe hasn't been in the classroom since the mid 90s. But yes he left his job at MC and is only coaching now.
I still find it ironic that one of the schools you continually criticize manned up and played in the Blue last year, when your beloved Caravan voluntarily dropped down. Yeah, I know it's been discussed, but it doesn't erase the irony of your criticism. Also, never really understood why teams like the three you mentioned are not applauded for challenging themselves in the regular season against larger enrollment schools.Where'd you get that number from? We play very few actual 6A or 5A programs, although we play several schools who play 7A schedules and then float down to 5A in the playoffs.
Admit it, you're from one fo the Saturday morning trophy schools: Montini, JCA or PC.
Wouldn't it be great if he got credit for a shutout when Providence forfeited?
Great Coach, I agree.Saturday's 6 -0 victory over Marmion was Mt Carmel Defensive Coach David Lenti's 100th shut-out.

I remember you came in unknowing about Coach Frank's situation like 11 months after it happened, so all I can say now is that you have no idea about the logistics of what happened and no right at all to make a statement that MC threw him under the bus, or to say we would do that to Coach Dave. Stick to what you know about JCA. Thanks!Great Coach, I agree.
So Dave reached a major coaching milestone, how long until MC throws him under the same bus where they threw Frank?
I'll bet the bus undercarriage isn't even clean yet from the Frank celebration.
Seeing that Justin is only a junior and you can’t forgo your senior year of high school I don’t think Justin is going anywhere next year but MC....and he hasn’t committed anywhere yet....As far as Coach Lynch, I’m not getting into his personal life details, but I’d be STUNNED if he went anywhere anytime soon....In regards to Coach Dave, in the last year I heard he was heading to Lyons, Hinsdale Central, Lake Zurich, and St. Laurence....yet he remains at MC after his son graduated and 2 years after Frank was replaced. He will leave when he wants to and he has well earned the right to do what he wants. The whispers of this being Dave's last season and Lynch has already been told are not uncommon to hear on the Western Ave barstools. News started once Dave resigned at the end of the summer.
Prop bet of the day: Which one happens first? Dave Lenti retires from MC or Jordan follows brother Justin to Temple to reunite with former NIU coach Rod Carey?
Sure Frank thought he earned that same right.Seeing that Justin is only a junior and you can’t forgo your senior year of high school I don’t think Justin is going anywhere next year but MC....and he hasn’t committed anywhere yet....As far as Coach Lynch, I’m not getting into his personal life details, but I’d be STUNNED if he went anywhere anytime soon....In regards to Coach Dave, in the last year I heard he was heading to Lyons, Hinsdale Central, Lake Zurich, and St. Laurence....yet he remains at MC after his son graduated and 2 years after Frank was replaced. Touché, got me on that oneSure Frank thought he earned that same right.
First of all, let me give you a little background.I remember you came in unknowing about Coach Frank's situation like 11 months after it happened, so all I can say now is that you have no idea about the logistics of what happened and no right at all to make a statement that MC threw him under the bus, or to say we would do that to Coach Dave. Much more tactfully put! Thanks!First of all, let me give you a little background.
- I think very highly of Mt Carmel and MC Football. I root for MC football essentially every game, provided they are not playing JCA, but losing to MC is nothing to be ashamed of.
- I take a lot of pride in Mt Carmel and MC Football and their accomplishments.
- When somebody ran that poll a couple of weeks ago “who do you think is the best team in Illinois”, I was one of only about 6-7 posters that voted for Mt Carmel as #1.
- My post which you referred to was mainly just intended to tweak MC63 a little. I should have made that clearer in my post. MC63 is just a little too much of a Homer when it comes to football. While almost all JCA fans are very proud of MC’s accomplishments, MC63 continuously likes to make JCA’s accomplishments totally unworthy.
- I will apologize for tweaking other MC fans with my post, it was truly not intended.
I could, and probably should just stop right there and I believe you would understand completely where I’m coming from, but alas I will continue just a little and risk digging myself into another hole after maybe climbing out of my previous one.
The Lenti brothers are/were great coaches and people to be proud of. Maybe Mt Carmel found themselves in a totally impossible situation where they had to make a change before Frank was ready to accept such a change. I don’t know. There is just too much secrecy regarding what actually happened and why, for the subject to not be brought up again and again in the future. MC made a tough decision but in the absence of a good explanation, they certainly have to live with the ramifications of their decision.
Lynch is also a very good coach and appears to have the Caravan headed in the right direction. I’m sure the need to promote Lynch also played a part in any decisions to dismiss Frank. It’s unfortunate that the coaching change had to play out the way it did, especially with thousands of football fans second guessing a decision that has been veiled in secrecy.
But no matter how good of an impossible decision was made by Mt Carmel on this matter, the MC community has to acknowledge that it was not a popular decision and will be second guessed long after all of us have left this world. AKA: it happened and it looks like it worked, but it definity happened and you can’t get bent out of shape when it keeps getting brought up again.
Both sides have said their version and they differ. So unless audio no one can ever say they 100% know.First of all, let me give you a little background.

Lenti’s Cards (sort of) but Lynch’s Game. We’re not running the veer....Segroves and Kubik recruited about 80% of the current Varsity roster not Frank. This years team I believe has been undefeated since sophomore, they should win it this years. ,this inadvertently frank lenti s team ,1 more year then fans will see what kind of coach mr lynch is ,until then you are watching lenti built teams.
This years seniors were not undefeated soph year or last year. The juniors are undefeated but to be fair played in the green last year. This years team I believe has been undefeated since sophomore, they should win it this years. ,this inadvertently frank lenti s team ,1 more year then fans will see what kind of coach mr lynch is ,until then you are watching lenti built teams.

I can already see that Lynch's offense is a good one. I just wish he could convince his younger brother to NOT be so quick to take off with the football when he thinks he sees a seam to run through. He is very good runner but a QB can only take so much punishment before it starts taking its toll. This years seniors were not undefeated soph year or last year. Kids and coaches deserve a lot of credit for switching offenses and not skipping a beat success wise. Sometimes not that easy to switch things seamlessly.
