I kind of lost track with my own team playing, but what an amazing career Staunton River's Grayson Overstreet has put together to this point. Overstreet is the VHSL career leader in rushing yards (8,212), points, (862) and TDs. (128) He is also humble giving credit to his blockers and coaches. He and his teammates have led the Golden Eagles to their first perfect regular season in school history. For a school on Rte 24, that is more accustomed to winless seasons and losing records, (14 of the last 19 seasons) they seem right at home riding on the broad shoulders of #24. Even though he leads an offensive juggernaut he is going to the University of Richmond for his defensive skills at the LB position. Good luck and continued success to this young man and to his team.
