on their 51-0 demolition of Nelson County on Friday night. Now, I rarely post anything on this forum-I think it's a dying site and it in no way resembles what it used to be and I've opinied on that on more than one occasion here. I just thought I should give a shout out to our boys for their effort Friday night. Been A LONG TIME since we've beaten anybody nearly that bad ( a couple of old teammates and I remembered beating New Castle HS 61-0 in '80) and probably just as long since we've shut anyone out. Big nights from a lot of people on both sides of the ball and it was nice to see the reaction of our fans and players. A lot of wow moments!
As for the Governors...whew...Gonna be a long season in the Dogwood! They remind me of a Northumberland team that gave up over 500 points in a season in the 90's when football was still football and not the outdoor arena stuff they play now. They have an athlete or two, but if the first two games are any indication of what the next 8 hold...They just have to hang in and take baby steps and improve a little bit week after week! I don't think they even come close to winning this year!
