Really tough fought game... our offense looked like dog poo but it looked that way because we were playing a really tough defense that did that to a lot of teams. Your crowd reminded me a lot of our bowl crowds, which no one understands.... both our sets of alumni live all over the world and can't make all the home games, but will turn out for the postseason. Nice turnout. Safe travels to all who made it.

I wish you well the rest of the way. The only downside to cheering for you to make the Final Four is that I don't want to see MFD's play replayed a million times. Without him there would have been no suspense with 15 seconds left. And who knows what McIntosh would have done without the foul; good chance he would have scored, although of course we'll always tell ourselves he might not have. It's a game of small edges and huge moments. Good luck.

Thanks. Your guys sure lived up to their 3 point shooting stats.

Man, Vandy guys would pull up from anywhere and still hit. Some were way out. The one from the left baseline when the guy's body was facing the other basket was crazy. Scary team to play and I am just so glad we pulled it out.

Agreed. It was a regrettable mistake but he did a lot of the work to bring you back. And while it's easy to point out that play, without it there was time enough for McIntosh to make a play on a night that he shot the ball well.

I have never seen a team shoot such long- range threes so well. Stunning.

It breaks my heart for that kid that he has to live with that. He was awesome, and just had a brain cramp.

Thank you for the classy post. Since both teams each had another possession after MFD's foul, I hope he doesn't go down as the goat for your loss. Your team gave ours all they could handle and they never quit.

It'd be fun if we rematch next year, deeper in the postseason. Good luck until then.

LFD made a mistake, but it was not fatal. BMac still had to make two free throws, and there were 15 seconds left to win the game. The real mistake was not having any time outs left for either after the Vandy go ahead basket, or after BMacs free throws.

Right. Someone in our group said it was a bad foul that happened earlier on Law when he got the rebound, but he missed the front end of the one and one. Ended up being a really good foul.

MFD played a pretty smart game otherwise. He drew two fouls on Law on crossing plays through the paint. On the second, Law seemed to complain that MFD hooked him and forced the contact. I think he had a point there, but MFD played it smart and got the whistle. In the first half, he also helped convince the ref to call a moving pick on Skelly by playing up the contact. Those are the kinds of plays that drive me crazy as an opposing fan, but I acknowledge their effectiveness.

IMO both bad calls. I hope CC discusses this with the head of officiating.

Yes, I agree that they were bad calls, but I do think the Vandy player was crafty in drawing them.

Law plays good, tight defense, but he does get called for fouls fairly frequently in these situations where he's trying to fight through screens and stay on his man.
