I am sure most local folks have caught this on the news but for those who may now live out of state and have vacationed here the dock had catastrophic damage to the store and restaurant. Luckily the rest of the boat slips escaped and nobody was injured. I can't even fathom the amount of income they will lose this summer due to the fire. Prayers to the owners and workers as they go forward.

Sucks for Conley and those with boats there. I am sure they will spool up a temporary office but it still won't be the same until the completely rebuild. If only we could charge the Ohio navy a dollar a trip down I-75 on their way to Cumberland we could rebuild Conley and maybe even another entire lake. It would be nice to have a Kentucky residents only lake.

It's nice to take their money but I sure hate dealing with most of them.

Yeah, it honestly would make sense to charge them a fairly significant yearly fee to boat on our lakes. Apply it to boater safety patrols (not more arrogant water patrol), that pull people over when the don’t know what the hell they are doing in the water or on the ramps.
