Who ya got?

I see this as a toss up. Pulling hard for Conley, but Rose can score points in a hurry. Forget the score last month, this one could go either way.

I thought Rose would beat CF by a few TD and they really struggled. I also thought DHC would handle ND and they struggled too. I also think this will be a toss up but I am going with Rose getting back their loss to DHC. Should be a great game.

Not surprised by the Conley/Northern score, Northern has athletes. They played Hillside, Millbrook, Orange and Conley close, all pretty good teams.

Conley smacked Rose around the first time. Vikes lost their coach earlier this season and have used that as motivation. Rose had under 200 total yards last go around. The 6'5 QB from Conley had 150 passing, 100 rushing with 3 TD's. Give me Conley in this one.

What is his name? QB from Conley......is it Halton Ahler (sp?) I saw him pitching for Greenville Little League several years back against Kernersville All Stars....beat K'ville All Stars both years. Ahler was already over 6 feet when he was 11 I believe. He threw smokes down the the plate. It was good battle and kinda wish Greenville went to LLWS but didn't make it due to Warner Robbins one year and forgot the other year.

That's him, he's a beast and only a sophomore.

I live in Winterville, which is a bike ride from DHC. Work in Greenville. Word on the street was that Rose did NOT take DHC seriously at all earlier in the season, and because of this, the Vikings smacked the Rampants in the mouth on both sides of the ball. It was Rose's worst offensive performance of the season, and they have a highly explosive offense. I don't think DHC holds them down this time. DHC can score too, and even if you can't, Rose's defense usually gives teams their best offensive totals. (In other words, the Rose defense is atrocious) So expect a basketball score. I have Rose winning 52-49.

Rose didn't take their crosstown rival seriously? I'd expect a Rose supporter to say that though. Rampants' problem is they don't have a D nor coaching, that will be their demise.

I'm guessing it was a defensive stop at the end. But giving the defense credit when they gave up 47? They better thank their offense. Side note, I had Rose 52-49. 3 points. 2 points. Same thing.

Conley offense is high powered and they score 45 points a game. Yes they do get credit as they beat the no#1 seed of the East.

They will have very tough time playing Dudley or CC. Both teams got SUPERB defense. Good luck to all of you guys!

The offense beat the number 1 seed. If Conley averaged 45ppg and they ended up scoring 47 in this game, how is that a good job by the defense when they allowed a team to score above their average? Rose's offense won this game tonight in spite of their defense.

Lol. In today's edition of the Greenville newspaper, the coach actually quoted me saying that their defense is atrocious, and then basically said that because they found a way to keep DHC from scoring 50, that I can, in so many words, shut up. I am not a coach. I'm just a fan. But getting a stop at the end of the game does not mean that the defense as a whole is any good. Scoring 48 points and losing? Allowing 28 pts vs a supremely overmatched South Central team? Allowing 42pts vs 4-8 CBA? Scoring 42pts, but having the game come down to a blocked fg? Even last night, he said the defense came through, after giving up 444 passing yards and 6tds thru the air. Hey, I guess making the play when it matters is all that counts, but that defense as a whole is not good. Thank goodness for offense. Its not common for teams to average over 30ppg, so for most teams, giving up 32ppg like Rose does would have them with an L every week. I did pick you guys to win the game 52-49. And I have you playing for the 'ship as well. Friends?
