Absolutely correct about Michigan's first points. Uncontested layups or M player went right through R defender who was hopeless one-on-one. That's not about talent.
Much of losing a one-on-one is 100% about talent. The lack of defensive help is about poor coaching.

Disagree. If you get two bigmen (both 6'10") of equal "talent" and the offensive player gets the ball right at the rim or in the position he wants, he is going to score or be on the foul line 80% of the time.

I see nothing of note from Mark and Nwuli that says they are big ten starters or difference makers. Sure they are fast and energetic so their D can improve, but They both can’t shoot at all. That doesn’t get better in time. Honestly Powers may have best upside as a potential scorer.
You don’t think Mark or Nwuili shooting can get better over time ? Seriously . Powers has the best form and a beautiful stroke but doesn’t understand what a good or bad shot is now. Very inefficient. Something a competent coaching staff can teach him. Nwuili has the capability of becoming a good shooter and he has the proper motor to be seeing more action .

Disagree completely. A guy like Zack Edey didn't do that and he was more talented than everyone he faced.

Zack edey was a 3 star prospect out of high school at his size he had to be very limited coming out of HS to only be 3 stars having played at IMG

He was not more talented when he got to college he worked his tail off and had a staff which was very successful in developing big men

we do not

Sure, he was allowed to develop, mostly because they had Trevion Williams taking up the paint, but he still shot 60% and scored almost 9 a game as a freshman off the bench. That IMG team had like 5 or 6 three star kids that went D1, they weren't just 5 star kids, although had a few.
