I think this is the main reason for the success we have seen in the past. We cannot continue along the same path and expect a successful future. We will never be a continuous top 10 recruiting team.

We have too be patient. We fire Frost in five years. I won't be going to games anymore. I've seen this show before.

Maybe we would have had so continuity if Eichorst would have hired a better Coach than Pelini instead of a nicer guy than Pelini..

We have Frost now and his staff has to build the program from the ground up from the destruction of SE hire...

I agree. This is a garbage program. Forget about the past. It's not relevant. I've read some well thought out posts about recruiting and tradition and etc...

The Huskers are not their tradition or their recruiting, otherwise we would have continually been in the championship game.

The whole thing needs too be rebuilt. This isn't an Osborne era, Its a Devaney era. Cool the hot takes.

You are right about continuity, but after 5 years I think we will have a pretty clear picture of where things stand and where they are headed.

What if the Huskers win 9 or 10 games and continually fail against Ohio State in the championship game. We've played three games and many are crying like bitches. I wonder if Frost will be here in five years, because of our fickle fanbase. Probably our last chance.

People need too shut their suck, and be grateful. Tell me how blah, blah, I'm wrong. I've got answers.

This is a total rebuild. There is no connection to the past. Don't talk about recruiting in the west, most of them aren't here. No win is guaranteed anymore. So pull up your skirts and quit the hot takes.

I think people might have to get used to the idea that Nebraska may never again reach the pinnacle that was 1993-1999. Most of the 70's and 80's and some of the 2000's were pretty good, so if we're lucky, we'll see an occasional B1G title over the next 20 years.

I believe we can do better than that, but we can't be fickle, ignorant fanbase. I hope morons don't chase Coach Frost off. Their are reasons for schemes and personnel in certain situations, but we have high school kicker coaches running their mouth. Teach geography well, and be quiet. I'm tired of the whining.

The coaches have made mistakes. Who are you going to hire next?

I am not sure what you are talking about in who we are going to get to coach next. Are you suggesting there is a mob ready to run Frost off and they could even be remotely successful in doing so?

I am sure you will correct me but wasn't the discussion about the worst start in the history of the program and subsequent causes? I think most humans with a pulse and who know anything about football have an understanding that winning is never easy and the ship at Nebraska has headed downward at a surprising rate and it was completely unexpected this year with this new coaching staff. In other words, inquiring minds want to know.

There is always going to be whining with this fan base, especially on this board. But if that is where we are in 5 years, things are A-OK and Frost will still only be 47 years old. We will have idiots complain, but lets assume the powers that be are not idiots.

I will be pissed if they chase him off. We're in a position of rebirth or failure. This isn't a guaranteed thing. We're going to see something different.

Don't be a ***** and talk about a db covering a te in a goalline situation because you have no idea of the scheme.

The coaches can only do so much, I really don't think the great nick Sabin would get much more out of this group of players. Somewhere sometime the players need to take responsibility man it up or gtfo it that simple, there the ones 20 years from now will be laughed at coaches move on nobody will mention bozo smiling mike of coach frost but believe me these players will be remembered

This is what people seem to be forgetting when bashing Frost. This is it people, this is our last chance to get this thing right. There is no other. If Frost fails or isn't giving enough time, game over! We are not going to get the top coaches in the country to come here. The ONLY reason we got Frost was his ties here. If Frost is gone, we are going to have to take whatever coaches are left over from here on out. I can almost promise, if we don't succeed with Frost we don't succeed again. We will be the NW, Purdue, Illinois, Rutgers, MN of the BIG10.

So questioning decisions and philosophies is no longer allowed. If someone dares question what Frost does, they are "bashing" him. If I question the logic in recruiting a bunch of 3 star players, the fact that I questioned it, will some how affect the product on the field?

So we are just supposed to sit quiet, let Frost do his thing and hope we don't become Illinois? Got it.

I think I'll pass.

What about all the posters on here "bashing" a 23 year old college football player? That is acceptable? Just don't say anything bad about the coach, we might become Minnesota.

Never said someone can't question things. Go back and look at some of my past posts. I have questioned some of his decisions. I have also said this isn't 100% on the players. I think this team has talent to be better than what we are seeing. What I don't know is how much is a result of mental state from past coaching and how much is a result of Frost, playing calling, and being able to motivate. I lean towards the mental state more than anything, but still think Frost could do things better to work with what he has.
My point was, a constant questioning and complaining by some this early on in the process is absolutely pointless and serves zero purpose. We all knew, or should have known this was going to be a tough year. If we are having this same conversation a year from now, then there could be some grounds for concern.

In hindsight, I think what we're seeing is a combination of past crappy coaching and entirely different systems on both sides of the ball. We lack confidence in what we're doing and we're not able to execute the systems when presented with a scheme that challenges us. We've got guys who while maybe 4th year players are making freshman mistakes because all of them are first year players in this system on both sides of the ball. I think we'll get better as the year goes on IF we don't quit. Fans need to stay behind these guys and try to stay as positive as possible. That will help.

Sorry, I'm a Husker fan. I will always tell a troll the Huskers will be the the most physical. I'm not sure that I was wrong. We were playing against a two back set with a heavy line in the first quarter. We were often light in the defense with too many cb's.

Watch the ILB reads and see how they react. They reacted slowly. It's a different read with motion and a two back two tight set. I think it's schematic. FFS. @jib321

No, I think the questioning part is necessary and good. I know what comes after that, and if people become silly. We will be Kansas. I just think there is too much whining for three games into a season. JMO

70s we won NCs

80s we have the most wins of any program and won conference championships

What are you talking about...your argument is ridiculous.

If you aren’t sure who the more physical team was last week then I’m not sure what to tell you. You either didn’t watch the game or need to watch it again.

Ok, I'm saying it wasn't all physical. We haven't played a pro-style heavy tight set this year. The players were slow too react. Your probably right, but I took exception to the FFS. Hard to be physical if you are unsure of your assignment.

Yeah I'm not sure why people continue to discount how good we were or how much success we had under Osborne and Devaney. We were an incredibly good team then. Now we're not. There's no comparing our situation back then to what it is now.
