"Lemp was Caucasian, according to Sandler. She did not know the race of the unidentified officer involved in the shooting because she said the officers were wearing masks."

Who gives a $h!t what his race was? Right or wrong, this is a tragedy and will be investigated. Why does the liberal media insist on injecting race into these type of incidents? There was no need to do that. At least wait until all of the facts come out.

Ridiculous.

Article is ********. It doesn’t say why he was banned from owning firearms.

It's as if he is trying to discredit all LEO. If they screwed up hold them accountable. The article is a smear job with little facts at this point.

Yea. If the LEO was at fault, burn them down, but bottom line, the system is working. Shooting is being investigated.

Why were the cops there in the first place?!?!? This man had a right to have these weapons! SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!!!! The police showed up and killed this man in his sleep. It is incredible the way you all will look the other way when people are murdered especially when the entire reason the police were at his residence was unconstitutional.

How do you know the facts already, when it is still being investigated? Are you Batman?

If he was convicted of a felony at some point in his life, he lost his right to possess firearms. The article was garbage.

Nowhere near enough information to know what happened or who is at fault. What's your argument?

From the article.
On social media accounts that friends said belonged to him, Lemp’s username was “YungQuant.” On an internet forum called “My Militia,” someone who identified himself as Duncan Lemp, of Potomac, and posted under the username “yungquant” said he was “an active III%'r and looking for local members & recruits.” That’s an apparent reference to the Three Percenters, a wing of the militia movement. The group’s logo, the Roman numeral “III,” has become popular with anti-government extremists, according to the Anti-Defamation League.

They were serving a warrant and what intelligence they had on his future plans you have no idea. If they screwed up they will be held accountable. Now is not the time to be flaming hatred toward public servants.

the issue is that the warrant itself is unconstitutional. How do you all feel about red flag laws?
A mans right to defend himself or to have the means to do so is not given to him by the government therefore the government does not have the authority to take those rights away. Shall not be infringed means shall not be infringed, it doesn't mean shall not be infringed until we deem that they can be infringed because you did something against our rules.

I'm as pro 2A as you can get. You don't have all the facts. What if he was planning a domestic terrorist attack ?

I’m not disputing your position, the article doesn’t provide enough information to come to any conclusion. It says he wasn’t allowed to own firearms. Doesn’t say why. It doesn’t even say it was a red flag situation.

No, I mean your completely un-tethered response to something you probably only know about 15% of. You act like this was a police hit , beyond any doubts. lol. Go back to your bunker before they come after you next!!

Yes, correct. If they find out this shooting wasn’t within the legal parameters, the cop will be charged. It’s really that simple. The system working.

Do I like or agree with red flag laws? Not even a little. I’m bigly Pro 2A, but there isn’t enough in this story to move my gives-o-****-o-meter.

You mean like the guy in Vegas that was crawling on his knees begging for his life when shot by SWAT then the guy was hired back for 2 weeks so he could apply for pension?

Was htat the shooting where the man laid down and put his hands under his body? Wouldn't pull his hands out when commanded to do so? I remember a video like that where the guy was shot in the hallway cause he failed to follow lawful commands

Incompetence in every profession. **** like this probably pisses you off. I could do one where IBM sold out to the CCP also.

I've seen it. Guy wasn't doing what he was told to do. Best do what the police officer is saying. Esp since it was recorded. Sad but not obeying police commands has consequences

I guess there's no way an officer would think he's possibly reaching for a weapon? Why didn't the guy just lie face down and put his hands behind his back? I guess we'll never know. Cops aren't robots. They get scared too. Especially with all of these recent cop killings.

That is so weird. Are you old enough to remember Kimberly Bergalis who accused her gay dentist of giving her AIDS? Testified before Congress and eventually died? After doing genome testing of both peoples AIDS virus, it was determined she lied because she led a life different than what she claimed. Because of that, Dentistry was forever changed.

It was pretty clear that the guy wasn't obeying commands and reached into his pants. Sad, but he was acquitted and rightfully so.

So a cop has the right to murder people that follow their instructions? I don't think that is how protecting and serving is supposed to work

If he is scared of a man bawling crying on his hands and knees face down he shouldn't be a police officer.

This police worship is ******* disgusting!

Worship? The guy wasn't complying. Just because he's crying, it doesn't mean he couldn't kill you. Cops didn't ask him to get on his hands and knees. When he reached for his pants, he could have had a gun. What if the officer didn't shoot and got shot himself?

The guy reached toward his hip. What if he showed restraint and hesitated like this cop did, to someone who was snatching groceries and not responding to a man with a gun like your example? It happens/can happen in the blink of an eye.

you really don't see a difference in these 2 videos? one man crawling on his hands and knees begging for his life?
"Cops didn't ask him to get on his hands and knees" the man was scared for his ******* life gets on his hands and knees begging for the police not to shoot him and that is justification to be murdered but a police officer opening fire on that man because he is scared is justified?

Also a huge difference in street cop walking up to a man and a full ******* swat team in raid gear read to go to war against one man!

And yes worship this isn't even were this discussion started. It started from Duncan Lemp who was no knock raided at 4:30 in the morning with cops flash banging him and his pregnant girlfriend ending with the kid being murdered. You shouldn't be automatically giving the benefit of doubt to anyone in a uniform payed by tax money when they kill people. Do you not think they are the ones that should be help to a higher standard?

That video was posted on here before. He wasn't complying and put his hands in his pants and refused to remove them. Just like Michael brown was innocent.

His hands weren't in his pants he was crawling on his hands and knees and reached back to pull his pants up. none of this in anyway gives a police officer justification to open fire either way. The cops were there for ******** purpose in the first place!
Either way not obeying an order given by a police officer isn't justification to be murdered! The fact that you give them the benefit of the doubt and don't even expect them to be able to control themselves in his stress situations is evidence in itself that you are blinded.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how the Republicans around here are the ones that try to argue for rights and liberty yet give benefit of the doubt to the cops that enforce the laws that take those liberties and rights away.
The police are the bullies and the muscle of the Mafia that is our government!
If they take ever takeaway second amendment rights, remember these are the guys that will have to enforce that and they will murder you too for not to giving up your guns!

I didn't claim they were the same. My point is, cops can't assume their suspect is harmless. The video in your example, shows the suspect reaching toward his hip. In a live situation, where split-second decisions can mean you live or you don't, is real. A cop doesn't have the luxury of a video, seeing it in slow motion, pausing rewinding...etc. If the suspect did have a gun and that cop hesitated, the cop would have been shot.Hindsight is always 20/20...but a live situation, adrenaline pumping and you're on a call of 'man with a gun' you just don't know. Cops are humans too. No different than you or I. They want to go home to their families too. If you had to deal with what they do for a living, you may not want to take chances either.

It's a terrible story with a horrible ending, but the cop was justified in what he did. Evidently the justice system agrees.

Says you, watching it on video replay. If you're the cop in a live situation on a call of a man with a gun, it isn't that cut and dry. The cop didn't know the suspect was unarmed, but you did before you even watched the video. Had the cop had your advantage, he wouldn't have pulled the trigger. It's easy for you to make a call, in the luxury of your situation. Not so much for the cop in his.
