Cops suck.

There are bad cops, bad judges, bad lawyers.etc. Every job has good and bad. We remember the bad ones because they were really bad and abused their power. The news covers the bad things but hardly ever tells us about the good stuff they do. Bad news sells, good news not so much.

Except bad cops can absolutely ruin people's lives. Like @Willy4UK pointed out, every time you deal with them, you can lose your freedom, lose your life and lose your money in any interaction with a cop no matter how small the situation is. Just ask the guy from New Mexico who got pulled over for rolling through a stop sign in a Wal-Mart parking lot and then having the cops claim he was clinching his butt, which then resulted in being fingered by multiple cops and doctors and a forced colonoscopy and they found nothing. http://www.usnews.com/news/articles...olonoscopy-by-cops-wins-16-million-settlement

There's too many of these ******** and they rarely face the punishment they deserve. That guy that shot that kid at a 7 Eleven I posted earlier, HE RECEIVED ZERO PUNISHMENT! How crazy is that?

All I say is, thank God we have cameras now to at least have some fighting chance at exposing these jerks.

People from all walks of life and professions can ruin your life in the blink of an eye. That's what several of us are saying. I agree that bad cops are absolutely disgusting and don't deserve to wear the badge. I don't let that cloud my judgement of the many good LEO's I know or have known though. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

About the one that received zero punishment...you should really be angry at the judicial system that lets killers with badges walk free. Just remember it's not the uniform or badge that makes them bad, they were bad to begin with.

No murder quota yet, but I'll tell ya, recently some kids got into a really bad car accident (trying not to be too specific) and one died. They estimate that they were going at least 100mph. Stuff like that goes to show why cops pull your dumbass over for speeding. They see that kinda stuff first hand on a daily basis.

Interesting thing just came up in North Charleston. NCPD cop shot a 50 yr old black guy 8 times in the back last year (Walter Scott case). In the pre-trial court motions the NCPD admitted in open court that they DID have quotas and Slager (the accused) was more than likely getting his required quota when he pulled Scott over (burned out tail light). Just thought you'd like to know.

As a white guy, I don't generalize entire ethnic groups into labels such as thugs or criminals. It would be just as ignorant to label all cops as racist or murderers. You hear of about 50 police brutality experiences a year, yet there are hundreds of thousands of cops in the US.
