I told my buddy, I can't imagine bottom of the 9th in the national championship game and you go down bunting??? I would have been trying to hit a 7 run homer and if I struck out then so be it, but I would have gone down swinging.

Meh. I’m ok with it. Just like with us stealing bases up 10 runs yesterday. Screw the unwritten rules (which don’t seem to really exist in the college game). I took it as an act of desperation by a team that had given up.

I agree. Other than the one hit, it was the closest they came to getting one. The kid was playing to win. I don’t fault him for trying. I also don’t fault the umps for not reviewing it.
