I have thought we have young, fast and tall cornerbacks that should be able to hold thier own in man coverage. I think that we give opposing receivers too much cushion. Like tonight when Georgia marched down the field with two throws in front of Westey and the one in Baity's area. Those three passes accounted for almost 50 yards.

I think that at 6'3" and 6'4", they should play press coverage and make the opposing QB beat them by throwing over the coverage

They are young and I hope they will play tighter coverage.

Anyone else have an opinion on the DB coverage?

We didn't have a safety back so when we do that we give cushion. Most of the game we brought an extra guy into the box for run support. We play a bend and don't break defense and it was executed fairly well tonight as we held them to fg more than gave up tds

Yeah agreeed with all thst...

But when a field goal is all that is needed to beat you, you cant play bend but dont break. you have to change it up.

Coaches put us in a position to win thru 3.5 quarters. we got it to a tie.

Coaches did not put us in a position to win the last half quarter and the game.

Likely that Stoops is spending more time on overall defense and less time 1 on 1 with DB's.....and Eliot marches on, and on, and on! I for one am pissed we're still paying that guy big money, and he is still effecting our D!

Eliot coaches OLB. Stop. Clinkscale is your target, but I'm not sure why. He doesn't put on pads.
