Cotton Bowl game thread

At the game. Trask delivers the ball quick. Gator Oline is playing good but the WRs are not getting open except short passes in a zone plays. #5 Jones being subbed in is a new wrinkle for them and I suspect it’s to give him some PT since Trask is leaving.

Stogner is playing. Rambo has been doing OK. Gods catch & a good kick return. On the missed pass, it appeared he came up lame. Time will tell in 2nd half.

The Stadiumppears to be about 20% full, of that about 65% OU fans. The social distancing thing is really good. We have nobody sitting within 8 ft of us. Traffic to the stadium was nothing. No bands. Kinda weird w that. Half time is on now w vids from both schools of the bands.

On a different note, for 71 years the Kilgore Rangerettes did a half time routine. And tonight that record ended. It’s been awhile since I’ve attended a Cotton Bowl game, but I think Kilgore has changed their standards. The vids of the girls are a little more ‘porkier’ than I recall.

OU has been pinned deep twice to start the second half. If Rattler can get up field he will open it up.

I have to give Riley credit for a job well done. The defense did a really good job but I really felt like the rb’s did a great job even when Riley was trying to go conservative in the 4th the Oline and backs kept playing hard and making big plays. I can finally say a Riley led team inadvertently ran up the score on a team.

As a Georgia fan, I would like to congratulate Oklahoma for doing the Lord's work and stripping away Florida's manhood in the Cotton Bowl last night.

Very impressed with the Oklahoma running game. Keep doing what you're doing. Would enjoy seeing a rematch with Georgia versus Oklahoma in the playoffs next season.

4 losses... the 3 picks in the first quarter are the best reason though.
The first one, the best thing that could happen for him was for Norwood to drop it. Nobody else could have caught the ball.
The second one his receiver should have come down with it.
The third one was like the first. No gator was going to catch that wounded *** duck. Mullen was eating him a new one on the sideline after it...

Well said sir. Wish FL would have been at full strength though. I just don’t get it man. How can you sit and watch your teammates get their *** kicked. It just goes against everything I was taught growing up. No quitting, ever.
