I honestly can't think of a more terrible person (in the coaching ranks) than Petrino. I laugh when TN people hate on Kiffin. Kiffin is probably the 2nd most hated coach in college, and he's a choir boy compared to Petrino.

Jnewc,
I don't remember Saban or Miles committing adultery and embarrassing the university. I also don't remember any other coaches in the news with nothing but derogatory stories every year, except Petrino.
How about that kid he screwed over in SC, the one that committed, and on signing day Petrino pulled his scholarship and gave it to another guy....left the SC kid hanging? The state was so mad they tried to bar him from recruiting in the state again.
Don't get me started. Coaches aren't angels...but they aren't POS either.
Not to mention he left the Falcons without even telling the players and his assistants. Mike Zimmer has some choice words for Petrino.

Like I said in another thread, Petrino's drawbacks weren't problems with the NCAA. It's because he's an A hole. Look at everywhere he's been besides UL. They all can't stand him. There's a difference between breaking NCAA rules and being a reprehensible human being.

I think a 8-9 win season would fix that for a lot of UK football fans. I could care less if he was banging half the trash on the stass if he went to a BCS bowl game.

C'mon now, really, comparing Petrino to Saban by saying they're both a-holes? Do I need to remind you of Petrino's other offenses? You might as well thrown Mussolini into the convo while you're at it.
The only difference between the 2 is that Saban hasnt been caught banging his secretary.

I have a question for all the crazy people wishing we had Petrino. What if Cal were to leave would you want Pitino back as coach again? He's pretty much the same type of person as Petrino.

If Petrino is or was our only chance for winning then we're truly screwed. He's not just some ******* that has a few minor character flaws. I would be more than willing to give Jeff Brohm a chance to coach here. I think he's every bit the offensive coach Petrino is. And even though he played at UofL I think he's a likable person. If Western Kentucky has another successful season this year then I'm 100% sold on him being the next coach if we can get him.

The problem is, why would Brohm come here? He could have gotten a better job last year. Petrino is legit top ten coach in the country. UK can't hire those kinds of coaches, BUT they could have hired him at the time because of his baggage. It was UK's best chance to hire a program changing coach since Schellenberger. And history repeated itself with UK passing and UL more than happy to hire.

You do realize outside of Kentucky, Calipari is considered a POS and a cheater. The only people who care about Petrino's character are the dumbas@es on this board. Most are too busy describing him as a genius and great coach. Something you are unlikely to hear about the Kentucky coach.

The only coach I can think of that is somewhat like him is Pitino who happens to be employed at the same school. If those folks love rooting for scumbags so much trade in the blue for the red.

It's one thing to have NCAA violations or you perceive them to be a jerk. It's entirely different for it to be pretty much common knowledge about how much of a lowlife Petrino is.

There was a time that Cal was considered a POS and Cheater on THIS board as well......but why let the truth ruin a good story?
I'm sure there were some just like some want Petrino now. I wanted Calipari before we hired Billy G. And I'm certain that Cal doesn't have any NCAA violations on his record so I don't care what uninformed haters say.

I'm dead serious. Prove me wrong

First off he never coached here, second, we are talking about a POS vs a very decent human being that loves this University.

I guess Im confused who you are talking about. Pitino can burn in hell. He was here and had his shot. Petrino, ******* POS but never coached here before, being the ******* he is would run the score up on UL.

He may have had his run ins with the NCAA, but it wasn't wildly known about how big of a tool Cal was. You think Cal is similar to Petrino in any way? No. Cal may be dirty in regards to the NCAA, but he's not a total POS.

Win baby, win.

Rick can't get away with half the nonsense Louisville allows, so...

Will be bang the maid? Yes.
Will players screw hookers? Not on on our dime.
Will be be a terrible father figure? Yes.
Will recruits care? No.

Hell yea I'd hire him, if he was younger. Probably not now.

Ivory tower fans. When will you realize. Every top level coach has a mistress. It doesn't matter. Win.

Win.

Win.

If you cheat, don't get caught.

Win.

Win.

Win.

This isn't hard.

Umm of course you don't. Because you are a football only fan. Who is the only decent coach at UK right now winning? Shocker you don;t give a dam. And he's considered a cheating bastard but we all know that is not true.

For starters, almost every team besides football is winning. I don't care about your perceptions of other people. There's actual evidence pointing to level of scum that is Bobby Petrino. There's not much out there pointing to how awful of human Cal is other than what people think they "know" about it him. It's totally different, and not comparable in any way.

I support your opinion. I also support people like you that buy this **** up ever year. Hope you enjoy what you paid for season tickets and parking passes. To everyone that enjoys UK football being a joke, I support you.

Lol I guarantee you I'm a bigger basketball fan than you. All I was saying is I don't think there would be many people at all happy if Pitino became coach here again mainly because of the person he is. Even if he would win a lot of games which he most definitely would. It's sort of the same situation as hiring Petrino.

Is Louisville better now than when he got there. Has he made strides in making it a better program? The coach who was there was hired by one of the top five bluebloods in college football. Has he made them any better since being there?

No one answered that earlier in thread!

I haven't and won't spend a dime on UK football this year. I live in Texas, so will not be attending any games. If we ever hire Petrino I won't be going to those games either. No one here wants to lose games. Some just don't want coaches that have already printed their one way tickets to Hell to be the one leading us out of the tunnel on Saturday's.

If you really want a POS like Petrino representing this university then I have no words for you. We are cut from different cloth, and I would rather you go ahead and start rooting for UL. Do I want to win? Yes. Do I want to sell my soul to the devil in order to do so? No. I'm not even religious, I just wouldn't be able to root for a team coached by a POS like Petrino.

Bigger basketball fan than me? LMFAO I would trade the football program away for another title. But I root for both. Fact is our administration, Mitchy bitches has no idea how to run football or basketball.

Dude, there only two sports that bring revenue. The rest cost money, don't promote squat, and are basically meaningless. They are easy to build if you want to waste money. Most AD's don't even care, and if they do, it's easy to spend it.

Barnhart is not the athletic director over basketball because calipari doesn't like him and he wrecked the program. Now we've given him the keys to football, and we see the result.

He's pitiful and a sorry *** AD. If you are a UK fan and actually like Barnhart, you are part of the problem. Please root for someone else for all of our sake.
