We haven't won a game since 9/27.
I think your last sentence is his point. Move on.Maybe we wouldnt' feel so negative if our talent were being utilized to win games. This is a message board. It is a place where we can vent and praise, but there hasn't been much to praise this season. Just the way it is.
I suppose the narrative we're gonna get for some is that we have to accept Gamecock football for what it is. It's just entertainment. It's not the sum of our lives. It should not be the source of joy for our lives. Because of all that, we shouldn't care the team is a total joke.Bingo.
Its hard to ask for less negativity with the product on the field.
To what exactly?I think your last sentence is his point. Move on.
Thank you.

Women's basketball, of course. To what exactly?
It's good for a couple of laughs before I change channels.Women's basketball, of course.
It's actually my point. What is there to move on to? More losses? More of the same asinine arrogant behavior from an immature head coach? He's made himself and our program a laughing stock. Have you seen the media this week? I could be positive, and say, "hey, we scored 30 points on the #3 team and played a great first half." BUT, we're left with the second half to remember. I didn't really watch that many games last year, I probably won't watch the remaining two this year. It's not the sum of my existence and I don't typically spend an inordinate amount of emotional energy on this team, but I also don't like the head coach making a fool of himself and the team. SO, this is where we come to vent the minimal frustrations we feel as fans and graduates of a university that the coach has turned into a laughing stock.I think your last sentence is his point. Move on.
some of us do post when things are great, but there hasn't been that much "great" this year.It certainly shouldn't be a major source of joy, but it is A source of joy.
And it doesnt make much sense to only comment when its going well. Isn't that derided as a fair weather fan?
In a season with 3 wins, one of which was an abysmal, embarrassing effort against an FCS team, I think we get a pass for being negative.some of us do post when things are great, but there hasn't been that much "great" this year.

No offense, but this is a dumb thread......LOL....in order to achieve your goal, we have to stop watching USC sports! Defeats the point of this board.
This is true, though there's really nothing to be optimistic about right now.I think we all know there are some people on this board in a perpetual state of pessimism.
Why not? Life goes on my friend; you/they choose to be negative, I/we choose to be positive. Neither accomplishes squat at any rate. Makes you feel better to rant the same thing again and again ad nauseum and post childish memes? Well you guys must be feeling downright peachy by now lol. This is true, though there's really nothing to be optimistic about right now.

I agreeTruth is, none of us would be here of we didn't think it was worth the time discuss. Or found it interesting enough to comment on.
And it would be boring as hell if every thread was a comment followed by a bunch of "i agree" posts.
Heck, some posters spend their whole time here whining about "negativity" (not you Freddie) If we all posted sunshine, what would they then post about?
If some posters get there feelings hurt by people with a different opinion, they have the option of not posting. No one is forced to be here. Well, except @18IsTheMan .
Exactly. Some of these players are making more than a lot of people on this board. Our negativity=realism. Warranted. I say, FIRE AWAY!
Lol you've got me wrong. I'm not one of the constant negative fans ranting about something. Why not? Life goes on my friend; you/they choose to be negative, I/we choose to be positive. Neither accomplishes squat at any rate. Makes you feel better to rant the same thing again and again ad nauseum and post childish memes? Well you guys must be feeling downright peachy by now lol.
Happy? No, nobody’s happy for chrissakes. But as long as there’s butts in the seats, Beamer, the board, nobody gives a rat’s patootie if you’re all up in your feelings. They’re trying, they’re working, and as long as they are I’ll stay with them. I’m not going to be ‘embarrassed’ by Beamer or Paris or whoever, or hope they lose a game. Geez; life’s too short for nonsense.
Let's hope, at least. It can't get much worse than this season. There's always the hope of a fresh start around the corner. And that corner seems to be getting closer.
What, I ask, do you find positive about this football season? We're 3-7 right now.
Muschamp is making mistakes that I don’t think he will make again, on and off the field; so did Spurrier, Holtz, Morrison. Despite the chest beaters, he’s going to keep coaching, and someone is going to benefit from that maturing. I’d like it to be us. I hope it is us. If I thought for one second that bringing in the next hotshot du jure would get us past 7-5 and 6-6, I’d sharpen up my pitchfork too. But I don’t.
I suppose if you want to, you could say we played our very best football for a half and then our normal football for half while they played their very worst football for a half and then their normal football for a half, and they came out 1 point better.
There is no question that this year sucks. It's also clear most of the posters on here blame Beamer. However, I do not see a simple solution. With multiple head coaching jobs open at schools that appear to be ahead of South Carolina in prestige, firing the head coach isn't a smart option. We were extremely fortunate to get both Holtz and Spurrier to come here but that was then. College football has dramatically changed over the last few years. Building or reviving a winning program is extremely difficult. Clearly, Vanderbilt and Indiana prove it can still be done if you get the right guy. I tend to believe getting lucky when using the portal is a big factor too. So while I get being upset, venting and being negative is fine. It just doesn't accomplish much to improve the bad situation in which we find ourselves. Of course, I could be dead wrong and we might find another Jim Carlen or Joe Morrison if we decide to cut ties with Coach Beamer.
In a galaxy far, far awayI think thats about as bland and outlook you can take on that.
If that game comes across as a positive to you? Well, I suppose nothing will ever make you doubt Shane. And you probably felt the same about Muschamp, and you'll feel the same about the next guy.
I see the reasoning behind being blindly optimistic just because of the logo on the coach's shirt. I was that way once too.
A long time ago....
Agree.I dont agree with the notion that we should keep a bad coach because we might not do better.
Our last two coaching hires have been text book, what not to do in a coaching search. A man who was just fired for gross incompetence and a guy who was never a coach or coordinator, but might be "our Dabo".
I dont think its a bad thing to want our AD to go out and hire an actual head coach, one who wasn't just fired, and see what we can get.
