We’ll agree to disagree. 90+% of liberal arts schools are heavy left winged in their teachings
They may be more left-leaning institutions, I'd say a majority of universities are that way, but my point was that the literal definition of liberal arts isn't about politics. Again, not trying to start anything just in case someone wants to jump in later and respond with some political argument.

I’m just glad we are allowed to finally call COViD what it was. A bunch of ********. If you posted this on the board or Twitter this time last year it would definitely get deleted

I'm gonna reverse course here on what I said about not wanting to make a political argument because this comment is ridiculously idiotic. Were there overreactions at certain point throughout the pandemic, sure. You all are fine to be upset about that but calling it ******** when millions of people died from it is utter nonsense. Give me a break.

You can go ahead and spare everyone the you should take it more seriously lecture when it was these people that made the pandemic infinitely worse for everyone than it ever needed to be.
We get it, your life was harder because you had to wear a mask. On the flip side, millions lost their lives. Families lost their loved ones. It's always easy in hindsight to criticize.

People die all the time from flu and vehicle accidents but no one stops anything in society over those things. It was a political stunt and everyone knows it. If you were old, fat, or immune suppressed then yes COViD may not have been ********, but for the 98% COViD was bull ****. We destroyed the economy and stunted many children’s development because of political fear mongering. I stand by my statement

In the sense of our response to covid, it was absolutely ******** that created more harm than good from it.

-to be clear: it's a big deal if you're old, morbidly obese or immuno-compromized. Just like most respiratory viruses.

-its not about having to wear a mask...I actually think that's good practice if one knows one is sick. It's about the destruction of world economies and a year to 18 months of lost schooling/socialization for children.

^some kids will be fine, those that are financially secure and were able to navigate the situation...poor kids were ******, as always. It's criminal.

Yep, a political stunt. Who was in the White House when COVID first started spreading? Please remind me. Let's say you're right and it was a political stunt. What was the point? The economy was destroyed, our education system was worse, and for what? Who gains politically when everything is ****? Big Pharma was already making billions before Covid. People were already doubting science. Republicans were already hating Democrats and vice versa.

You obviously don't get it or you would just STFU and move on but here you are, fear-mongering well after it's out of fashion.
You have to press the reply button if you want to make sure that I see your sad attempt at an insult. Otherwise, you're just speaking into the ether.

I think it’s important to quantify what percentage of people died were people in long term care facilities, nursing homes, or with serious health issues. Then compare that to increase in suicides, overdoses, and children’s development for those with many years to live. Not trying to start an argument I’m just saying a risk/benefit analysis is important. Just saying number of lives lost (that apparently is actually an inflated number?) isn’t painting the full picture. Would be good for everyone to know tbh.

I’ve found these Yak/Merino/Silk blend socks to be nice in the cold weather. Pricy at $76, but worth it.

You are speaking to me, that is directly engaging. Who dismissed me? I graduated from high school a long time ago so dismissing me from anything doesn't happen in my daily life anymore. See, I can speak to no one too.

This is where we are today. FINALLY people that were staunch fear-mongering for covid are slowly accepting you don't label a car accident death as covid. It completely f's up you data. You probably shouldn't blindly hand out hospitals money for every covid positive test, either. You should also not run up the cycle counts of said covid test to where it almost always returns a false positive. But hey, people died man so you need to take this more seriously and give me some money.

We may get this sorted out one day but just thinking of corrupting data for 2+ years and how painful the task will be to get to that evasive truth. We may never know.

No it was complete ********. And now everyone that got vaxxed is pissed because of the side effects. Just be honest.
