Yes....but a freshman this year will be a sophomore next year. They will just have the option of adding a 5th year of eligibility after their 4 years are up.

Another nugget. If the player plays their 5th year at their current school, it does not count against the scholarship limit. If a player plays their 5th year of eligibility at a different school, it counts against that school’s scholarship limit.

Thanks. I was pretty sure because I thought you had explained it before but someone else was sure they were right that it was just the seniors.

That is going to wreck havoc on scholarship limits 3 and 4 years down the road.
