OMG how will I sleep at night when I think you may not believe me about how many families have moved here? What an over inflated sense of self worth you have to think I would give 2 💩 what you think.
Yet you couldn’t wait to respond. I’m sure by next week you’ll claim that you know 40 families who all think just as you do and couldn’t wait to move into your picturesque community.

What I can't wait to do is put you on the block list with the rest of the people on this board whose only goal is to complain, grip and start fights. So I will sit in my picturesque community enjoying the board without seeing you on it.

I am sure it is picturesque. Small towns are nice in general.

I just wish people would quit living life like some politician is deeply invested in their well being. I've lived quite a few working years under leaders from both parties and my life has not gotten significantly better or worse based on anything they have done.

West, Tn lifer here and I hate what’s happened to Nashville. Miss the small city vibe, it’s nearly completely gone. I hate thinking it, but in 10 more years Nashville will be Atlanta and have much of the same problems. I certainly don’t advocate west, Tennessee, as the entire area has gone down after Memphis spread out. We’re moving to the gulf this year and I can’t wait. Actually, we’re choosing between Lakeland Florida and Bay St. Louis Miss. Either way, couldn’t be happier.

I would choose FL if you want to save a little per pay check on having to pay MS state taxes. I am not sure the amount of MS taxes is that big a deal though...all depends on how much you make and what stage of life you are at when considering this move.

I also have no idea what either place is like (other than assuming they are on the gulf lol), so the MS place may be way cooler and a better fit overall for your family.

My wife tells me I am way too much about the finances/money/taxes. I guess that is the price I pay for being a finance/payroll nerd. I hope the move goes well.

On a separate note, see this thread has went into a political frenzy as usual LOL

After reading this entire thing, I'm embarrassed to be from Kentucky. Some of the dumbest takes on the science of mask wearing and a pandemic that I've ever seen. This is no longer ignorance - well, I guess it is "willful ignorance" - as much as it is just plain dumbassness.

Many did, but that’s largely to do with a corrupt media, and they’re now paying for it. I don’t necessarily subscribe to parties, but Trump > Biden and it’s not close to close. I look to policy, not media driven lies and hysteria.

It’s just about to run it’s course. People are growing very tired of it and as soon as the dollar gets a little bit worse (almost there), social scare tactics won’t work. It’s gonna be bad so buckle up.

What policy did Republicans and Trump even have? How do these policies benefit the average American?

Just in at 9: Fauci recommends masking buttholes to prevent covid
Not sure why this needs explained but there is nothing wrong with voting by mail when it is done correctly, Mass mailing with no proof of identity being required is no way to hold an election. Requesting a mail in ballot with proof of identity is perfectly fine and has been done for eons but not what took place last election. We will never know the number of fraudulent votes that were actually counted but it was enough to give Biden a stolen victory. Most unpopular president in the history of the US but got the most votes ever, yeah makes sense.
Over a sitting president who received more than 10 million more votes than he did when he won. It’s pretty easy to see, when has a sitting president ever lost re-election after gaining that many votes?

You and your poor kids. When I was a kid, we could not buy flour or sugar. It was all rationed. Most things that people used then were rationed and you got so many stamps to buy it. Then, we had to have nuclear arm drills at school. I had graduated by then, but my siblings had to learn how to hide in school in case we were bombed. All the time, my sweet mother was trying to cook with what we grew on the farm. Despite the fact we had a profitable farm and could afford to buy food we didn't grow, we were not allowed to buy it. All of you young guys that ***** about your "rights" and how a generation is being ruined because of government mandates should have been around when we all had gas masks and had to to go hide in the shelter we dug under our barn when the sirens went off by accident.
So you are comparing rationing because of a world war to a pandemic? Wtf does that have to do with rights? I would love to have the amount of rights you had back then. It’s way more than we have now. Eroded every year since then.

The comparison is fair. Back then we had to ration goods so our troops could win the war.

Nowadays this war is against a virus rather than the axis powers.

If rationing was implemented today you cannot say with a straight face that society would come together for the common good of the people.

Case in point you're saying our rights** are being taken away when in reality it's just the government telling us to "ration for the good of the people"

Substitute rationing with masks, vaccines, etc and there ya go.

This is what the poster you're replying to is saying.

**what rights are being taken away?

There is no rationing when it comes to rights. Have they repealed the Patriot Act? Tyrants never willfully give up power given to then.

What rights? Depending on where you are the right to shop, the right to travel internationally (and if Biden gets his way) nationally, the right to not be detained in “quarantine” (concentration) camps. It’s a slow theft of our rights by the global elite. Soon enough you’ll need proof of vaccination just to leave your house, to buy anything.

What's wrong with voting by mail? Genuinely curious. I mean it's been done in a number of states for decades now. It also gives more opportunity to vote especially for those who cannot get off work on election day or for those who have to commute a long distance.
Far too open to corruption. Many countries have realized this an banned it.

I'm with you on the Patriot Act but I was comparing rationing in WW2 to masking and vaccines today.

If the govt were asking its people to ration today yall would be against it because it's going against your rights.

The thing you miss about "rights" is just because we have them doesn't mean there's freedom from consequence.

I have the right to shout "bomb" at the airport but I'm still going to get arrested and rightfully so.

You have the right to not wear a mask or get a vaccine but that doesn't mean you're free of the consequences such as not being able to travel abroad.

I have the right to not get vaccinated but if my job were to fire me then that doesn't go against my my rights.

That was just one anomaly of the election. There were numerous others but somehow the anti-trump people (aka anti-Americans) want you to believe this was all big lie. Still waiting for any never trumper to tell me how any of his policies were bad for the American people or America in general. And climate change crap doesn’t count. You want a big lie, there you go, climate change, been happening since man ever inhabited earth but somehow now that we are here we must stop it, 😂

I would suggest that any employer outside of heath care does not have the right to force the vaccine and even healthcare is waking a slippery slope with this particular vaccine. My wife currently has a medical exemption but her employer has mandated it and when her medical exemption runs out she will be fired and I will be suing them. The onus will be on them to prove why it was medically necessary for her to get vaccinated. The inventor of MRNA, which is the basis of the vaccine has openly came out and said mRNA was not made for this purpose and will not be effective. Of course he has been silenced by social media. Can’t wait until my wife gets fired, I will be going at them guns a blazing and through a number at them that will make their *** pucker up tighter than a snare drum. Don’t even need the money but always wanted to sue someone for stupidity so this will be my chance.

Anti-American if you didn't vote Trump? I voted Trump in 2016, but didn't in 2020 due to his crazy immature behavior. I guess that makes me Anti-American. Your affection for him is almost cult like. I've never seen that in my lifetime and we've had some much better presidents in my opinion.

Just for the "great days" you speak of. Our 2019 GDP growth before the pandemic was an anemic 2.2 percent. That isn't a roaring economy no matter what Fox news may tell you..

I don't want to get in a political pissing match thought. Politicians have very little influence on how my day goes. I've been blessed with both parties in power.

So taking an unproven “vaccine” that doesn’t work for a virus that doesn’t have much chance to kill most is the same as a food rationing to try and win a war? This is the worst comparison I’ve ever heard. Pretty soon you won’t be able to go anywhere without your papers which is the same kinda thing your parents were fighting against in that war. Some states in America you can’t get a firearm, that’s a constitutional right, check out the “patriot” act and see what they can do now to any American. Things that were unthinkable when you were a child.

What policy? Name his policies that benefited this nation and I'll jot some stuff down below.

Tariffs?

Those crippled our farmers so much so they had to be bailed out (almost 30 billion) and one of their main customers ended up going to Brazil never to return.

Tariffs are also inflationary passing the price increase to the consumer.

Tax Cuts

Benefited the rich. Rates for the lower and middle class go back up in a few years. The right claimed they were good for those classes saying the average American household $1600. Using average rather than median skews the number upwards.

Debt and Trade Deficit

People confuse these as being the same when they're not.

Ignoring covid debt by percentage of the economy went up slower than under Obama which is good. Though 44 took over during the worst time since the Depression and most of the debt was created early on.

Deficit which is defined as the difference between spending and revenue went up under Trump after slowly going down under Obama. In other words a higher deficit is worse than a lower one.

Per an article on Fox

"The 2018 deficit was $779 billion and the 2019 deficit was $984 billion, both up from the $585 billion and $665 billion deficits in 2016 and 2017, years Obama was mainly responsible for the federal government's spending. This was largely a result of a large tax cut passed by Trump and a Republican Congress in 2017 and elevated levels of military spending"

Job Creation

I'll give credit for this but remember Obama created more jobs his last 3 years than Trumps first 3 years. So while unemployment went down job creation from 2017 to the end of 2019 was lower than from 2014 to the end of 2016. It's not like the economy was a hellscape when 45 took over

Stock Market

Ignoring 44s first term because it wouldn't be beneficial for Trump going up some 70% from during 44s first term

Comparing term 2 with Trumps first term both 4 year runs yielded around a 47% stock market return.

What I'm saying is I can give credit where credit is due. The market and job creation did well under Trumps but it's not like it was a hellacape prior.

I wore a mask for 12 hours a day at one point. Didn’t have a lick of breathing issues.
One of my friend’s mom was missing a lung to due a previous cancer diagnosis. She had no issues either and works 8 hour shifts.

Im sure athletes in peak condition won’t be bothered by it either.

I was t wild about wearing one all day either. But it didnt affect my breathing a lick. And I’m still a fairly big dude.

im not a fan of this decision but to act like they will be choking out there is a little much.
😂👌 Riiight.

“I love wearing a mask. It feels great and it makes sure I don’t give my cat covid aids by breathing.”

What does "anti-trump people" even mean? He is not the president and doesn't hold a job that can affect any of us, unless you do work for him and he doesn't pay you like he has done so many times before. How about the "anti-Meryl Streep people" that don't like her movies? Are they anti-Americans? The fact that so many people in this country joined this loser's cult absolutely astonishes me.

Always laugh when someone points to tax cuts only helping the rich. How can you help the other classes that pay little to any tax. In 2020 61% of Households paid zero tax. Trumps tax cuts was the springboard for creating 7 million new jobs which lead to the lowest unemployment rate in 30 years and record employment for blacks, Hispanics, and women.

energy independence. How do you like the cost of gas now compared to them. Yes I’ll concede prices were aided by Covid and limited travel but prices were already heading south anyway. Analyst projecting $4.00 national average by spring now that we are once again dependent on energy.

immigration control- remain in Mexico. Why some think it’s ok just to allow anyone to stroll across the border is beyond me. Most countries you do that you get shot, here and under this administration might as well be handing out welcome bags with free ****.

restored 250 million a year to hBCU’S. Not bad for a racist.

signed right to try- nothing like telling dying people no we aren’t going to let you try what you want to extend your life. Do it our way that shows your chances to be Minimal but hey it’s what we know.

eliminated Obamacare mandate- democrats love mandates don’t they

trumps accomplishments are long and all completed with not just any help from democrats but rather one **** show investigation after another most of which they finagled out of thin air.

Biden’s first year has been a complete disaster but I have a feeling he’s just getting started. Worst thing that has happened to him though is the let’s go Brandon chants. Media not being extremely nice to him at the moment but nowhere near as hard as they hit trump every single day. It’s effing sad what this country is becoming. I won’t go down easy, I’ll take a few with me.
And you will lose.

you guys that couldn't have told me who the vice president was 10 years ago are all of the sudden political science experts. Get off of Youtube and live your life and quit worrying about everyone that disagrees with you. Quit labeling people. Live your life. You were living your lives fine pre-Trump without having to bring up politics in every conversation. Why can't you just keep doing that?

Quit labeling people
One side has an endless supply of communities of disenfranchised groups and hyphenated Americans. You label yourselves. No Americans.

One side will shout you down and force you out of employment if you speak up. All amendments have limits, ya know. It says that somewhere in the amendments.

Nothing to see here, move along.

True. I see kids getting off school buses and walking with their masks still on. It's not because they've been "trained" to be afraid. It's because they're kids and they can adapt to things much easier than adults, so masking isn't a big deal to most under a certain age. While this possible ruling may be on the silly side of things, athletes will do whatever is asked of them to play, while the rest of society argues about it.
I disagree they will do whatever it takes to play. UK players on bench are required per Rupp Rules to wear masks but they don’t. If they don’t follow those rules, why would they be ok with wearing them while they play?
