Well we're coming down to the final stretch of the regular season. We knew how it would end up and its playing out just how we thought it would.

NO INTRIGUING GAMES THIS WEEK.

Parkland @ Reagan: Reynolds Defense kept it close for the first half but didn't have the offense to capitalize on the two early turnovers they got. This week Reagan will have a field day against this Parkland squad. Reagan 56 Parkland 7

East Forsyth @ NWG: East boat raced Parkland last week and they'll be able to do the same this week against NWG. East 49 NWG 0

West @ RJR: This game will be close early because of the RJR defense. I don't think they have enough offensively to keep it close. WEST 35 RJR 0

I hate to say this but the conference is very top heavy with West Forsyth & Reagan and a decent East Forsyth team but the games aren’t close with the bottom tier. I can’t remember the conference having non-competitive weeks like this year across the board. I noticed Davie County and Glenn are 5-2 and at the top of their conference. I say this a lot but I miss those 2 teams along with always talented Mt Tabor who is over it’s brutal non-conference schedule and they look fantastic.

West Forsyth and Reagan are setting the pace, but the conference needs more competitive balance. Davie County and Mount Tabor would strengthen it.

This 8A crap killed the CPC. RIP
Again, I don’t see it getting better…It Did Not Help having 8 Division: .. The old CPC was better with these teams below:

West Forsyth
Reagan
East Forsyth
Mt. Tabor
Davie County
Glenn
North Davidson

Every Week had great matchups with meaningful games that impacted the standings! Now, That’s gone!

Sorry Coach, I was right…. I’m talking “ole” like 10 years ago…lol… NOT decades ago with East & South Rowan???( NOT sure they were ever in the conference with any Forsyth teams) South Stokes was in the late 70’s.

10yrs ago this conference rocked with these teams below: Just LOOK at The top 6 teams…they had great records…even your team Parkland was good. Every week brought quality games. It easy to say those days are gone.
They played more football games back then… 2 or 3 more games, not a 10 game reg. season schedule.

I wouldnt say decades, like it was back in the 80s or 70s.
20-25 years ago, Mount Tabor, East Forsyth and North Forsyth were in the Metro 4A with Grimsley, Page, and NW Guilford...
The Rowan teams were in the CPC for an alignment or 2, and there were never 12 or 13 games on a regular season schedule. It was 10 or less, and the most being 11 with the endowment game.

In the late 70's and 80's Parkland was known to have some good running backs. Their backs were as big as some of their lineman. Byers and Kirkpatrick to name a couple.
