He may have been run off as our DC, but the guy is obviously a great head coach and program builder. Too bad he isn't a few years younger. He'd be an obvious choice to take over when Riley retired.

It's funny that the skill sets necessary to be a great position coach are different from a great coordinator which are different from a great head coach.

Wyoming is a solid team now, they will be a force to reckoned with in their conference. Don't see him as the HC in Lincoln in the future, but I bet he would do a pretty good job. Good luck to him in Laramie and wherever he goes from there.

Wyoming is a much better team than they were earlier in the year. Glad to see Bohl is seeing more success after leaving behind a championship team with a first round draft pick at QB.

He is proving to be a good coach. The only question one might have is similar to mid-conference basketball coaches who are really good at getting the best out of mid-level players but when they go to a bigger name school, they have to deal with and coach a higher level athlete (or even recruit a higher level athlete) and it doesn't always translate.

I'm not suggesting that would be the case with Bohl, but one doesn't know.

I'm glad he's experiencing success. Speaking of, does Nebraska play them again soon? I kinda hope not.

Wyoming win was a squeaker. the 4th quarter scores made it look bad, but they were in the game.

No-they are not on the schedule again now. The earliest we could play them again is 2020(we have one open date for a nonconference opponent, although playing them would be unlikely because we don't have a Power 5 team scheduled yet). I'm not sure what the "kinda hope not" comment means, but if it means you are scared of playing them-this program would be in a lot of trouble if we are ever scared of scheduling Wyoming. I don't think anybody in the athletic department would be scared of scheduling them, but considering we just ended a 3 game series with them, and it was 17 years before that the last time we played them, it's probably unlikely we'll see them until the middle of next decade at the earliest.

Good for him. Were it not for some off-the-field issues, he could still be here.

I hope they run the table. They are ahead of Boise in their division having beat them, and play the other division leader San Diego State November 12th at home. IIRC, the division champion ranked higher will host the championship game. If Wyo wins out, a rematch at home with San Diego State appears likely as of today, at Wyoming.

Well in all fairness it was the whole 7-7 thing that got him fired. I think his other activities would have been ignored a little longer if he was on a staff that won more games.
Lot's of college coaches don't get fired for banging the wrong people........if they win.

True enough that a lot can be swept under the rug if you're winning, but Bohl had more problems at the time than the rumors of infidelity. His marriage was coming apart, his focus was gone and, in his words, his "priorities were out of whack."
