I think Richt is a pretty good coach, but he's not at the Meyer or Saban level, both of whom he's had to contend with.

Can Georgia find better? They probably can, but at a pretty good risk. The list of coaches better than Richt is much smaller than the list of coaches who are significantly worse.

He's got a lot more skins on the wall than the last 3 lugnuts we've had coaching the Huskers.

Even though Fulmer had a couple bad years when he was let go from Tennessee, it kind of reminds me of that situation. They thought they could do better and spent nearly a decade not being all that good. Butch I think is a pretty good coach and dynamite recruiter, but they had to suffer through one year of Kiffen, several years of Dooley and a few years for Butch to build it up.

Rivals Mike Farrell regarding Mark Richt:

"While he has won two SEC titles, three BCS bowl games, six SEC East titles and led the Dawgs to a top 10 finish in eight of his 14 seasons, it's not enough"

- See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1820437#sthash.DjBb5FWK.dpuf

That is just M Farrell...you should see the fan base's comments.

This position isn't unique though. We held much the same spot in 2003, and OU constantly bitches about Stoops who has owned the B12 for years but declined as of late.
