Next year a few HS and CM kids will be team mates. Here are HS kids going to:
St Francis: Jevais Harris (WR/CB)

Carthage: Marcus Curry (RB), Jon Gorney (LB)

Should be fun with some interesting reflections on last year's 6A final 4 game.

@cmdynasty Crete should be loaded again this year right? The QB (black kid-they had 2 QB's only way to decipher, don't freak out on me people) was a soph right? I believe that team last year was pretty young. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of the same teams in last years quarterfinals this year: Crete, Montini, Prairie Ridge, Cary Grove. I think that is 2016's final 4 right there. Who am I missing? Naz is still in 5A, Provi 5A or 6A? Man, imagine if Naz and Provi are in 6A.

Yes, His name is Isaiah Rucker. He has grown to 6'5 and has a cannon. The majority of skill players are back except for Ratkovich and Lenoir. The rest were sophomores and juniors.

Where is the QB going? Wherever he is going it's a steal. Coach, give us a run down of where the South kids signed. Thanks.

Have they built a statue for Ratkovich yet? He was just a good Football player, could probably play a bunch of positions.

Didn't you guys have a DT who was Sophomore too, #58 I think? There was one kid on the DL that was Soph who was really good. What's his name?

Ratkovich is a super kid! It took him 4 years to talk during his career! He will be attending Western Illinois. They recruited him as a SS/LB. He is just a football player! It was like having Laquon Treadwell all over again. We had to underclassmen at DL both tackles #58 is a sophomore Jahleel Holloway and #99 is a junior John Mitchell. We have seven returnees on defense. The Sophomore QB is getting big looks. We are currently working on his foot speed. But he is very talented. We have great youth football programs who have bought into our system. Our freshmen class this year was dynamite! The future looks promising.

That's what it's all about, unless you're a catholic school and can recruit. Glenbard West has great feeder programs too. That's how you build a program, a consistent program that is. It's not easy.

#58 is the kid I'm talking about, he's a monster. Made some plays that were just ridiculous, he'll be a player for sure.

Thanks for saying that. He works very hard during the off season. What's been great about our kids is that they all really like each other! They do everything together. Even in the offseason. And then you have guys like Treadwell, Nyles Morgan (Notre Dame), Lance Lenoir (WIU) and Chris Slayton (Syracuse) come back to workout with the guys and tell them exactly what it takes to make it to the next level and be successful on this level. Work hard by example and the best thing is that it has caught on in the classroom. This year we had 4 Academic All-State players.

Sean hasn't decided yet. He's finishing up basketball right now. He's got his heart set on a preferred walk-on at Michigan St. or Penn St. I know that he has some D2 attention as well as an offer from St. Xavier. He's also been contacted by St. Francis (Joliet).

Josh King DE - Michigan State
Marko Ristic K - Drake
Robert Hall DB - Winona State
Ravon Johnson WR - Northern Michigan
Jevais Harris WR - St Francis
Marcus Curry RB - Carthage
Jon Gorney LB - Carthage
Connor McCormack WR/LS - North Central

There are a few other kids (2-3 I think) still working thru process who will be playing somewhere as well

Mike Feminis and are went to Marian Catholic. We are very close. He was telling me that he was recruiting Sean. He really has an outstanding program. But Sean needs to follow his heart. I will be pulling for the young man. Our two DT just got offered by Illinois today.

I know Coach Fem. He was the DC at St. Francis when I was there. Tell him Scott Hansen says hello. I've seen him at Glazier a few times. His OC, Mark Yanule was a GA at Francis my freshman year. I believe my former head coach, Mike Slovick, is still on the SXU staff too. Small world.

Wow! Small world. All of those guys are still there. We go to there 7 on 7 every summer. It's a great time. I will be sure to tell him you said hello when I see him next week. He has done very well building that program up with local kids. One of our former players scored the winning touchdown (KJ Franklin) when the won the National Championship. The kids love the coaching staff.

Cool! You're absolutely right. I'd consider them an NAIA powerhouse. They're always in the mix.

Today, found out that Jevais Harris (HS) and Eric Valot (CM) will be room mates at USF this coming year. I suspect this will be a very good pairing for both. Funny how things tend to workout for the best.

Jevais is excited as well and will also be a great team mate. Looking forward to Saturday's spring game and the chance to meet his future team mates.
