Well, people always were comparing his hire to dabo's.
Edit: I get it, probably sacrilegious. But this strikes me as one of those "it's great when my guy does it, but that other guy looks like an idiot" type of things.

It's a trend that people are doing on Tik Tok. He participated and I'm sure he at least the got attention of some recruits just off this alone.

Cringe to me isn't the same cringe to 13-23 year olds....who are obsessed with this type thing. I think it's great for the program....which is all I care about. Plus....he isn't nearly as awkwardly dorky as Dabo is.....and honestly who on earth can really compete with that D-Bag for cringeworthy quotes or terrible dance moves?
Very impressionable to young recruits - he'll do anything for the team and have fun doing it.

The old man vibes on this board are strong. Currently SC football is among the highest ranking schools in the country for overall social media interaction. This is what you have to do to sell your program and create a buzz. It has been retweeted and commented on by multiple celebrities and influencers... It's a huge win.

As stated above, Shane comes across as really genuine compared to others and believe me recruits know the difference.
I'm certainly past the age where that type of music would appeal to me BUT I enjoyed it and definitely NOT cringe worthy. OP, why would you post that it was cringy in the first place?

He ain't doing it for you. While you cringe, recruits don't. They're the target and it is in touch with the times in recruiting so regardless of what you and I see in it it's what's in tune with other programs and the all out war in college football.
