far as the game, I must admit I was impressed with MC's new offense. In contrast to the previous thirty-five years, decades in which MC ran the veer or "crawl-ball," I am inclined to say the Caravan adapted quite well to a new offense. The QB threw crisp passes, and the run game was fairly solid. Although I had seen MC play once earlier this season in a win against LA in Wilmette, I found MC had improved and was playing better at the end of the season than in week three, which is always a sign of superb coaching.

There is no doubt Lynch lit a fire under this team that needed to be lit. The energy and excitement on the field at MC is the best it's been in years! Lynch (and a great supporting coaching staff) had that team improved every single week and more and more fired up.

MC has a bright future with Jordan!

Total MC outsider here - so just asking - is he a long-term guy at MC as Frank was a lifer? or may he he use this as a stepping stone ?

I wouldn't be surprised either way. I could see him using it as a stepping stone, but he also has ties to Chicago and might want to keep his family here.

Either way, its been exciting to have him running the show and breathing new life into the program.

Good home crowd for Naz and Andrew traveled very well. If going to Naz for Round 2, know:
  • minimal parking on the campus and many of the residential streets south of Ogden forbid game time parking
  • find a restroom inside the stadium before getting on the road home
  • I'll take Naz over Hersey on Saturday, by at least 2 TDs - what a collection of football bodies for the former.

How do I get tent access passes?

Mt. Carmel football has improved every week. Kids needed time to get use to new offense. Lynch is a very good coach. Let us not forget how successful of a program coach Frank Lenti ran. The Caravan did need a new type of offense that Lynch brought to the table. I think it’s Great that Lynch was coached by the Great Frank Lenti. Lynch has got a Great coaching staff working with him!!

Is it me or has this thread been hi jacked by MC supporters.
It really is funny that the MC guys just can’t help themselves. Guys I know you love MC but man almost every post turns into an MC this an that. Do you guys even realize it?

Not always, but frequently, those who dislike us post something nasty about our program and we respond. Lots of us.

I'm not referring to the good-natured stuff with Rice or Rita guys, but the really mean-spirited baloney. There's been no shortage, lately.

It gets rolling, and pretty soon ...

Let's slow up putting j lynch in the coaching hall of fame after 10 games with franks old team, lets grade him after 3/4 years, which I think would be fair.

If you want to play the "with Frank's old team" card, then you'd have to admit Lynch has "Frank's old team" playing better than Frank had them playing.

Made the quarter finals last year, returned 17/21 starters ,9 on defense, Pretty much an automatic better year, thanks for your opinion.

No offense Corey but in a lot of different threads there were posts about LWE being the top team, unstoppable, etc. See no harm in either scenario as it makes for some spirited back and forth discussions and quite often humorous posts.

Minooka fans very nice and friendly - enjoyed the game and the atmosphere ! Good luck to the program in the future ! With 19 juniors starting this year they have a fun year coming up and will be in the playoffs no doubt next year as well!

I see what happened. Didn’t Loyola return about 19 starters this year from last years 2nd place 8A team?

They made the semifinals actually but not even close to 17 starters back this season.

I honestly don’t think he’s going anywhere anytime soon. He already took a step down from coaching D-1 football. They were grooming him for bigger and better things at NIU too. He’s a family man, he didn’t want to be traveling all the time, this is where he wants to be for the long run.
