Provi gets to take on the now Mighty Crusaders. Funny how high school football works, Badke and boys go from “goats to heros”. All the talk about hanging Badke out to dry has now disappeared.

What is the formula of this years success? What does PC need to contend with. I still have to watch the BR/LA game recap but wow what a good old fashion ***-whipping! Domination on both sides of the ball.

As mentioned previously Rices talent is different than the Ricky Smalling teams. More southside blue collar type of kids. Best players are the hardest workers which wasn't the case on previous teams.

Strength is upfront.

Key to the season will be if the QB can stay healthy. Rugby guy that runs HARD but risk of injury is high. QB2 is good but bean is the leader and huge run threat.

I hope Rices D-line can survive your 1man recking crew on the Provi O-Line, that you have mentioned in NUMEROUS threads.

Rice hasn't played a road game and Provi will present a challenge, should be a good game.

Don't win anything by being 4-0.

And one can only imagine how much better the Crusaders would be if they participated in the Prep Bowl last season.
It's actually help them.
This now senior class which was the junior class last year has incredible leadership. They were the ones that decided Not to be apart of the prep bowl last. In a players only meeting of mostly juniors (seniors this year) said we want to focus on weight room/off season training. They were done being around the bad vibes of last years seniors.
The recognized it as a cancer and wanted to not be around it anymore.
Incredible foresight and maturing. It has shown on the field as well.

100% agree. My post was sarcastic. Last season needed to end after week 9 for various reasons.

BR’s defense has played well against the spread O thus far (Marist, Crete, Loyola) but Celtic will bring a whole different dynamic to the field: a big, physical O line and 2 good running backs. BR’s D built more on speed so this will definitely be a much different test for them Friday night. Have to make Celtic put it in the air.

I knew this team's leadership was going to be light-years ahead of 2017. Lots of juniors played last year which usually equates to success the following year. However, they still have to line up and play the game. Win or lose Friday night, you know Rice will leave it all on the field. The Turks are back!!!
