I've said that for months. No doubt. Cruz is the worst possible person to hold the office. Others are pretty equally bad.
Can't speak for Bru, but I don't see Cruz as a person who is willing to compromise on anything in order to get a deal done. For all of his faults, Trump is a deal maker. He'll try to work with Congress, although he may be unsuccessful in that endeavor.
You know, that honestly hadn't occurred to me.......not sure I believe it here (since Trump only "deals" when he knows he's got the advantage), but it's still a compelling thought. Lord knows Cruz won't deal on anything; when it's Cruz, neil and Airport will call it principled (when it's Obama, it's obstructionism).
OTOH, I doubt Hillary will show up in the WH again with any intentions on dealing with Ryan and McConnell in her own right.
Either past performance is indicative of future performance or it isn't. So, if we think he won't compromise based on past history then we also must acknowledge Hillary will be equally as a big a failure based on her time as Senator an SoS.
I'd imagine Trump's more-than-willingness to compromise to get deals done is one of his biggest blemishes among the mega-right/freedom coalition crowd. It's their way or the highway. And of course, Ted Cruz is a card carrying member of the Freedom Coalition.
I think you can count on Trump to always act in his best self-interest. Cruz has acted against self-interest to be consistent with principles. I voted for neither in the primary.
I thank you for your vote for anyone other than those 2 guys, although Rubio is starting to annoy me with his attempts to act like Trump in the debates. I'll give him credit for that one pretty good line about "when you're finished with yoga ...", but that really has no place in a presidential debate.
New poll has Trump at 38% of vote to Rubio's 30%. Lyin' Ted's additional presence in the state will cut into Rubio's #s, especially since a few of his super pacs are beginning to air anti-Rubio ads on TV. Trump hits Rubio over social media and cable news while Cruz hits him on the ground and local TV.
