I reread you comment... They have a young OC and they made the Varsity OC for an offense that less than .01% run??? This could be a ugly!All.... As you mention it's a formula they use for preseason score projectons. I was told the freshman OC for the Titans Cam Cummings is back and has been named the varsity OC. He coached with the new HC at New Berlin. Also mentioned HC Dambacher "met with those coming back and his offensive philosophy is going to be WISHBONE.... yes wishbone offense at Glenwood next season."
Haven't heard if this still remains so or if it has been changed. This is the CS8. Ratsy
All.... Three wins before they take the field this season. Alton, Lincoln, and Eisenhower.... Steve Souice ran a chart if the new expanded playoff format would of been in effect using records from 2025. Every team with three wins and some only with two would of made the playoffs. Chatham will make postseason play. RatsyI reread you comment... They have a young OC and they made the Varsity OC for an offense that less than .01% run??? This could be a ugly!
Where in the hell is Roamin at???Fwiw (and your viewing enjoyment) I rechecked the preseason Massey projections. Pieced it together and at times there can be a slight variation between the matchup projection and the recently added schedules with scores on the site. Ratsy

All.... Young Mr. Jackson is the real deal and he comes into this season only a junior. Not a lot of film on him I could watch but I remember the playoff game when the Crimsons went on the road in rd 1 of postseason play beating the undfeated Richland Tigers in a wild game. He was all over that field. The kid is a banger on both sides of the ball as well. Good size and speed. 2025 stats.... Rushed for 870 yards on 61 carries (14.3) and 5 td's. He also can catch with 6 receptions for a total of 136 yards. On defense 54 tackles, 42 solo's. RatsyWe're about 6 weeks out, so it's time for an abbreviated CS8 preview. Rankings are subject to change, and I'll have something more comprehensive a week or two before the season starts.
New Coaches (3): Chatham, Springfield, and Lincoln.
Playoff Teams in '25 (8): Rochester, SHG, Chatham, Jacksonville, QND, U High, MacArthur, and Springfield. With the playoff expansion this year, I expect these teams to all get the necessary 3 wins to qualify.
Non-Playoff Teams in '25 (4): Lanphier (Last in playoffs 2004), Southeast (2014), Eisenhower (2016), and Lincoln (2023). With the playoff expansion, I expect 1-2 of these teams to qualify by getting either 2 or 3 wins.
Preseason MVP Candidates: Brinkman (SHG-QB), Groesch (SHG-RB/LB), Swaney (Rochester-WR/DB), Venvertloh (QND-QB), and Jackson (Jacksonville-RB/DB).
Toughest Non-Conference Schedule: Rochester (at Moline and home vs Batavia), SHG (Neutral site vs Lincoln Way Central and at Joliet Catholic), and U High (Away games vs Rochelle and Mahomet Seymour).
Easiest Non-Conference Schedule: MacArthur (vs Mattoon and Granite City).
Most Returning Starters/Contributors: SHG, Rochester, and MacArthur.
Hurt Most by Graduation: Chatham, QND, and Springfield.
Longest Non-Conference Road Trips: Lincoln at Marion and Rochester at Moline.
Preseason Rankings by Division (subject to change before season starts)
West: SHG, QND, Jacksonville, Springfield, Lanphier, and Southeast.
East: Rochester, MacArthur, Chatham, U High, Lincoln, and Eisenhower.

All.... And as we have discussed if Rylan Rees (jr) shown on the Crimsons Hudl roster is the heir apparant at the qb position and can get his passing game rolling quickly with that strong running game Jacksonville will score a lot of points. Pretty sure he is a decent size lad. RatsyThe Crimsons also return two other RB's who were in the 600-yard range last season.
All.... I just looked up RB Brown and noticed he is 5'11" 195 before watching the film clip I thought he might be a banger running over people. Still might be to some extent. The highlight video shows him being fast and elusive and a runner that can cut on a dime. Pretty impressive. RatsyOut of all the CS8 teams, it's hardest to get info concerning the two Decatur schools. MacArthur is the only CS8 school that doesn't report its statistics regularly to Sports Radio 1450.
However, the Herald and Review (HR) has provided some new information regarding each Decatur team heading into the season.
Eisenhower has a new coach with AD Benny Phillips taking over for DaJuan Johnson. That makes 4 new coaches this season in the CS8.
MacArthur returns a RB who could be in the mix for preseason CS8 MVP. According to the HR, Cayden Brown ran for over 1,400 yards and 16 TDs last year. That makes him the leading returning rusher in the conference.
No but I believe Brown came from Eisenhower to Mac in '25.All..... Rocketnation. Was there any mention of defectors from Eisenhower coming over to Mac this year? Ratsy
No but I believe Brown came from Eisenhower to Mac in '25.
Correction. There was another RB who transferred from Ike to Mac last year but it was not Brown.

Terrible idea...All.... The Titans. Interesting with the possibility of using two qb's. Ratsy

All.... Yep. As you know the qb with quick accurate decisions is a big key when running the wishbone that the Titan HC and staff have decided to go with. Having two learning the system in real game action would slow the whole process down. Pick one.... While Massey has Chatham winning their home opener against Community West by a comfortable margin that game could be a battle for both schools. RatsyTerrible idea... There's not much fa
