Awesome as usual!!!

The Titan game was closer than the score shows... U High kept shooting themselves in the foot!!! Had they scored, as they should've in the 1Q, the game could've went either way... Too many mistakes by the young U High team... Titans 35-12

Ya know the Rocket/Generals game reeks of a massive blowout... After a week off, basking in their glorious victory over Batavia, I hope DL has kept the Rockets grounded... Ya know the Generals will use the whole, "We against the world BS" so they will come out fighting... Rockets 66-12

The other "game" this week between QND/Jacksonville should be a good game... There will be NO SURPRISE as to what Jacksonville will do... RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!! Ya know I love running teams but I like the Radha's as well... Since Im playing with house money... QND 35-34
You were very very correct. My fellow Rocket boosters and I wanted to remain as humble as we could. Prior to the game

Jax 35
QND 20
Final

Only stings losing the halftime lead, kind of expected worse outcome. A could have been, turned maybe should have been, game for QND...
Raiders fall to 2-2. Homecoming next week, Southeast in town.
This was one of 7 games that I watched... The QND interception that gave Jax a short field and eventually a 21-20 lead was the back breaker... Jacksonville has speed to burn and an aggressive D so there's no shame losing to them...

Southeast 20 Lanphier 7, 3rd Quarter.

Game delayed by excessive heat. Not sure when it will be finished but Monday evening seems most likely.

Game resumed. Southeast 26 Lanphier 20 (OT), final.
All.... The Tony Boyd show. Two rushing td's and two passing. A huge and must win for the Spartans. Haven't heard to the contrary that Southeast has scheduled a replacement school for Eisenhower in week eight. That is two wins and unless they manage an upset in upcoming games week nine against the Railsplitters will be for that important third victory and postseason play. Southeast will be the home team and a slight favorite.

Lincoln's path to the postseason is precarious as well. The Railsplitters last three games are against Hillsboro, Lanphier, and Southeast. The Hilltoppers by the way are having a breakout season currently sitting at 4-0.

One never knows what the future holds but week nine for both schools could be on the line for a ticket to the w10 play in game. Ratsy

That was a winnable game for Lanphier. Their QB Camarie Richmond is elusive and keeps lots of plays alive with his scrambling. The downside of this is that the Lanphier line was repeatedly flagged for either holding or blocking in the back during these extended plays. Southeast QB Boyd has a similar style to Richmond but throws the deep ball more often.

Lanphier got a nice stop to start the game then fumbled the punt in their own territory. The Spartans recovered and scored quickly. When the game was delayed by heat, Southeast led 20-7 and appeared to have the advantage. The Lions ended the 1st half inside the Spartan 5 but had used all their timeouts and ran out of time after a busted play.

The Lions kicked for the XP on their one first half score. Wondering whether it was a missed XP that kept them from winning in regulation.

that was the shortest heat break i've ever seen. also, that was one of the worst games i've seen in my life. that includes my high school team beating lewistown 88-0.
While I'm sure it was rough, at least it wasn't a blowout... that always saves the game, slightly in this instance I'm sure, but definitely better than 88-0 lol Worst game I've ever seen was a 12-6 defensive, uh I guess, barnburner between Mendon Unity and I believe it was Rushville but it also could have been West Hancock/Hamilton... been a while back now. Regardless, paint was drying faster than that game was moving and faster than both those teams were moving. lol

Rocky just got beat 35-3 by the other Qtown school... Chatham should cruise... The school on the hill in the Q will continue telling us they're good for beating up the WB6... lol

Mac will bounce back, I think we all knew they were likely a farce this year, confirmed this past Friday night. Hope everyone got in/out of that stadium without issue.

Rockets can pick the score, probably could also do that with their Frosh team starting the game.

Jax/SHG could get interesting... depends on which SHG shows up I guess. But Jax can control the clock and their defense is being undersold to this point imo. SHG's hit or miss run defense the past few seasons is where I'm looking this week. Jax has 2 guys that can flat out burn in the backfield. Once they get to the second level it's Tyreek Hill dueces and off they go. That Jax run offense has relied on some huge chunks and big play pops this season. SHG will need to limit those. I think the SHG offense can figure out the Jax defense, it isn't wild or overly aggressive, just very sound and they played great assignment football from what I saw and was told by a couple QND friends in the stands against the Raiders. I ultimately think the Cycs are probably still favored here, but it's not difficult at this point to find a path for a Jax win...

QND should, should... should cruise... who knows with this group

SHS should win? Idk anymore with the Solons... Crazy how they could go from the past 2 seasons to this year's team... Tough to see.

I was impressed by what I saw with the Jax quickness on the Defensive side and the aggressive hitting... Even if the Radha's lost, it was to a good team... Growth cometh and good things flow...

I mean ultimately the truth was in the 2nd half... QND shouldn't have been leading by 2 scores anyways with 2 scores taken off the board by penalty for Jax in the 1st half... Regardless, once you get that two score lead at half, the expectation within our program changes. Up two scores at half, we expect to win the game. Just how it's wired man. Getting blown out 28-0 in the 2nd half isn't going to do anyone any good. lol This is a very similar QND team to the 2023 version that went 4-5, caught a break in round 1 drawing an overrated ALAH and then led Nashville at half in the 2nd round only to blow that lead and lose 27-18. Similar outcome to follow this season I'm guessing... Too inconsistent at O-line, not enough production because of that on the ground and the protection for Venvertloh has been flat out awful if we're being honest here. Give V-Loh some time to find a man, he can produce, we saw that a year ago. But this year he's scrambling, too much scrambling, and while he's learned to tuck and go more than he did a year ago, he's still just not that kind of QB. He's more effective as a pocket passing type, not a throw on the run and make quick decisions under duress kind of QB. Defensively, solid group, but not fast enough, not big enough, not strong enough to this point. Secondary will get torched by SHG, Rochester, and Chatham. Except we may not see that because all 3 will be able to run at will on em.

As they say... Oh well, there's always next year boys. At this point we take pride in the playoff berth and focus on remaining healthy thru the back end gauntlet on the regular season schedule and winning Week 10 when it rolls around.
