CSD @ Starmount

Starmount will be more physical, CSOD will be slinging it all night. I wonder how much dancing the Spartans will be doing after getting popped a few times. If Starmount can keep pressure on the QB, then they might muscle out a W. I really don't think either team is very good, but CSOD has a little more, talent, but Starmount is home, so a tossup.
That’s a fair assessment..CSD is a much bigger and improved team than the one you saw last year in the 2nd round at Mitchell. Spartans have one of the top QB/WR duo’s in the state. Christ School had top in state with CSD duo behind them (Fekete/Renshaw). #10 has thrown for 3300 yards, 39 TD’s and 12 INTS. CSD most definitely has more speed than Starmount but SHS is massive in comparison. CSD has 3 WR with 4.6 speed on outside all night long..will be interesting to see how SHS plays them there with the spread offense. It is at Starmount but I don’t think Starmount can keep up with the speed and athleticism of CSD. I predict a close game at half with CSD pulling away in 2nd. 35-28.
Starmount will counter with RB Ethan Barnes. QB Trey Dezern is first 1,000 yard passer in a long time at SHS.

Yep - majority of those yards were swing passes to Ethan. Never the less - will be a good game.

All games for CSD are away games. They don’t have a home.
I’ve seen CSD a couple of times this year. They should stretch the field. Starmount needs to sustain long drives to stay in this one. From what I saw, they will be starting from the 20 the majority of the night.
Interested to see how this one plays out. There’s always a sleeper.
Starmount in a close one, this game is a toss up though, wouldn't be surprised if CSD pulls it out, think Starmount has just been a little more tested
Starmount will be more physical then CSOD I think. Limiting the big play by Starmount defense will be the key. Good luck to Starmount. Got to pull for our foothill teams.
Both are O-fer vs teams with a pulse. As a Starmount fan, if they don’t kill themselves with turnovers, they should pull it out. If they muff punts and throw picks like they’ve done in some of their losses, it will be nearly impossible for them to win.
Well I guess the good thing for Starmount is CSD doesnt punt much....when they do though - it’s with a D1 kicker. That’s the other secret weapon that isn’t discussed enough. Starmount will be starting every drive on their 20. I think it’s going to be a great game.
Has he committed anywhere? It looks like the CLT area is a hotbed for kickers. Minnesota, Toledo, Vanderbilt, NC State, UNCC and Furman have either extended offers or have commitments from the area/region.
Starmount with over 400+ yards on offense while giving up around 160 yards. The Rams held Fekete to under 100 yards passing.

They lose RB Barnes but majority of their better players will be back. Add in a 9-1 MVAC JV conference champion team. Starmount Middle School won their conference. Feeder schools in elementary won their divisions. Rams have some talent coming up.
