In this whole school district mess, there are a group of kids that have been forgotten. LW North was slatted to close and all those kids are headed to LW East. Well, all the kids from Mokena that were going to East, are now being shuffled over to LW Central. Not a word has been said of this. Life throws you many unexpected curves and you have to deal with them. Our kids are doing a great job of adjusting. My oldest son plays CB on varsity and middle son will be a freshman football player. I don't want the Central football program to be forgotten. I don't want Central, our new family, to be forgotten. The LW Central Knights football program will turn heads and draw attention on Friday nights.

Grey597, you are spot on. There's more than just the north kids moving around. It's just that most of the noise is coming from North Parents.

Good luck at Central.

LWC has a really good AD now, that's going to help them a lot.

LWC could have done a lot worse with their draws in the 7 conference games from Weeks 2 through 8. Although drawing The Brook, they missed LWE and H-F. Also, no meeting with Thornton, historically a troubling opponent for the Knights in recent years. In addition, Central has skirted rivalry games with same-district foes West and East. Finally, 4 of these 7 are at home without having to make the trip down to Homer-ville, I mean, Bradley-Bourbonnais. Weeks 6 & 7 against the latter and Bolingbrook will be most telling.

EDGY, any insight into why so many teams are playing out-of-state? There seems to be quite a few teams going that route

One reason is that it is really hard for some teams to find games in state.

Do schools schedule games too early? I see Providence going down to the Lou week 2 and HF playing Hammond the same week. Why not just play each other? That would be a fun one if it actually happened

playing Hammond is a conscious decision. Provi-EStL is just a good game that should happen. The out of state games are interesting, i like em.
