I believe that the head coach at Thornton played at Gordon when Hennessey was an assistant there. Hennessey may be doing him a favor to help fill the schedule.

I was mistaken. I mixed up Thornton & Thornridge. Pat Jennings of Thornridge was on the '80 Gordon State Championship team, of which Hennessey was an assistant coach for Coach Winecki.
