I was at Wilmington last year when they beat Byron in round 2 and the loyal fans there knew IC was going to win handily. To be fair Wilmington kept IC with 32. Only 1 team stayed closer (RB practically tied) and that team was 6A (St. Laurence). The inequities that happen in the smaller levels are sometimes really crazy.

Path in 4A in the northern part of the state is certainly easier than 3A if Phillips does go 3A...
IC was the most dominant 3A team I can remember seeing. Zero weaknesses and just a plethora of big fast talented skill kids.
I truly think they would have beaten Rochester. I'm not sure people realize how vanilla they played in the title game after the first quarter....
You are very accurate about the title game. Sadly it could have been easily 60-0 if EIC chose to do so.
Most of the skills come back and few new ones have wondered in that are being offered D1 scholarships, so yeah.

It will likely come down to late Friday night or even Saturday afternoon of pairings day before we will know if they are 3A or 4A. Will be VERY closely watched by both classes for sure.
You vastly overlooked Herscher last year going into the Phillips game... and doing the same thing this year by not voting for them in the 3A poll on IHSS... lol
LOL, thanks, if I'm being honest I copied someone else's poll and switched EIC and Phillips. I did not even pay attention to who they had at 3-10. I would have Herscher in a 3A top 10 poll for sure. I did underestimate them 100% but I don't think they would beat either of the top 2 this year.
I think this year Herscher has a chance to beat Phillips, I really do.. played them tough last year, yardage about the same.. and did that with our starting RB/ MLB going down early 1Q.. and thats assuming Phillips is about even as last year..
I agree him going down was a killer for you guys. Best of luck this year. I'm no Phillips fan, just looking at who I think will be the top teams.

So you think they have a 25percent chance to win but you would pick up 400 bucks with only risking 100. I think if The game at neutral field or Phillips I will take the bet. With 4-1.
If it's at Hersher - there would be more risk of shall we say some "home cooking" ...and I will only do 2-1 if at Hersher and im not accusing anyone of anything just more risk so that needs to be built into the bet is all.
How does one home cook with officials assigned by the IHSA?
And if someone said right now if we had a 25% chance of beating the #13 team in Illinois in a quarter final or semi final game, I would take it.. we kinda have a history of beating a few goliaths
Crowds and environment can affect anyone at anytime is my belief. You getting great payout if you hit the winner with the underdog bet. 400 bucks to only 100 risked if the game at Phillips or at a neutral site in the title game. And still a doubling of your money risked if the game is at Hersher. That is a better return than what you have made to date on your Bitcoin purchase/investment.
