The state wanted LW two schools closed so West is not out of the woods yet.
Other districts could be looking at the same thing down the road. There I are currently 38 districts on the watch list and more that could be put on there in the coming years.
As downstate enrollments continue to decline, should see a bunch of consolidations.. there is an area here, the high school has 180 kids and 3 K-8 districts feed into it.. yet that is 4 separate districts that each get a ton of state money because its a low income area..
