So I found a site where I could make dream teams and run simulations! So I figured I’d plug in our drafted World Series between @csrupp and @quest4#9 and see what happened. On this site, you have to choose which specific year to use for a player. So I used the 3rd best year for each player. That way it wouldn’t use an outlier season to skew the results. Although for juicers, I tried to use their weakest juicing season. I figure the seasons happened so I didn’t want to ignore them but I didn’t want to reward them either. Both McGuire & Sosa were still using a 50 HR season in this simulation.

Each team had to be 25 total players so I plugged in the same reserves on each team from the 1990 Reds to make the rest of the teams perfectly even. I know the personal touch was cool in voting for the champion. So I don’t expect this to override the actual results. But I thought those in the draft would find it interesting. And i has some spare time today. Anyway, here goes!...

Game one:
Quest4#9: 8
Csrupp: 6
Buster Posey goes 3/4 and Ryan strikes out 10 to give quest a big first game win.

Game two
Quest4#9: 3
Csrupp: 5
Seaver goes 7 innings & Smith gets the save. Series even at 1-1.

Game three:
Quest4#9: 0
Csrupp: 4
Bert Blyleven tosses a 4 hit shutout to put csrupp up 2 games to 1.

Game four
Quest4#9: 11
Csrupp: 3
Mike Trout goes 3/5 and goes long twice to help Quest even the series at 2 games apiece.
https://www.whatifsports.com/slb/Boxscore.aspx?gid=11066173

Game five:
Quest4#9: 2
Csrupp: 11
Mantle hits 2 homers and drives in 6 in a rout. Csrupp now up 3-2. It’s do or die time for Mr. Quest!

Game six:
Quest4#9: 6
Csrupp: 8
Jimmie Foxx goes 2/4 and drives in 7 to take the series.
https://www.whatifsports.com/slb/Boxscore.aspx?gid=11066198

Csrupp wins 4 games to 2 in a close series.

Oh and if anyone is curious, my Babe Ruth team that lost in the first round swept csrupp 4 games to 0 [smoke]

I was on the wrong side of the voting several times when I felt strongly I chose the best team. I won't go into reasons, but it can get pretty complicated on this kind of voting. I think you are one I voted for who lost.

If @csrupp was Indiana he’d hang a banner! Jk . Shows that it’s quite subjective and there’s no “better team” with these caliber of players.

Tell me his Kid Nichols wasn’t his game 1 starter haha I might throw Gooden game 1 if that’s the case as I probably want Ryan vs Seaver.

You my friend deserve the title for the effort of simulating these though haha. Cool site
