So I found a site where I could make dream teams and run simulations! So I figured I’d plug in our drafted World Series between @csrupp and @quest4#9 and see what happened. On this site, you have to choose which specific year to use for a player. So I used the 3rd best year for each player. That way it wouldn’t use an outlier season to skew the results. Although for juicers, I tried to use their weakest juicing season. I figure the seasons happened so I didn’t want to ignore them but I didn’t want to reward them either. Both McGuire & Sosa were still using a 50 HR season in this simulation.
Each team had to be 25 total players so I plugged in the same reserves on each team from the 1990 Reds to make the rest of the teams perfectly even. I know the personal touch was cool in voting for the champion. So I don’t expect this to override the actual results. But I thought those in the draft would find it interesting. And i has some spare time today. Anyway, here goes!...
Game one:
Quest4#9: 8
Csrupp: 6
Buster Posey goes 3/4 and Ryan strikes out 10 to give quest a big first game win.
