That freshman for UCLA throws a hell of a ball. He's going to be a good one for them when it's all said and done. I'm curious to see whether Chip turns it around or if DCs have him all figured out now.
At the same time, he needs to learn to put some touch on some of his passes. There's no need to rocket it in there on every pass.

CU could win the Pac 12 South, and are playing good football, so we played some descent football this year.

Why the letdown vs Troy (mental mistakes) and the total meltdown vs Michigan? No idea.

I would be fine with performance like the once against CU the rest of the way.

Do not forget we had Bunch play the entire game against Troy. Fans tend to forget little tidbits like a walkon with no experience in the system played for us. Having good backups means wins.

Just got back from the gym. Two of them said they hate Kelly and didn't even watch the game last night. As disgusted as I get, I can't imagine not watching a NU game on TV.

I’ve been to several UCLA games at the Rose Bowl. Their fans don’t watch the game when in attendance. It’s a social gathering for them and the game gets in their way.

Good point..I have the same worry for Frost. Juxtaposed to the option, the oregon spread is now run by most of the lower talent teams in the country, at least some rendition of it. That means defenses from teams like Troy and Colorado are familiar playing at that pace. When Chip was at Oregon teams had one week to prepare for the offense and the pace, which was impossible. Of course great execution and great players overcomes any defense but I have seen almost zero free yards created by the scheme. The defense rarely looks tired or confused. So we'll see if Frosty adapts to the changing landscape, goes more power spread, or tries to stick with what worked 8 years ago.

Just fumbled across the goal line and not a word anout a touchback
Wrong! First of all, McMillian caught the fumble off the bounce on his chest in the endzone so it's a touchdown at worst. Secondly, his butt was already on the ground when his back hit and he coughed it up, so refs called it right as down at the 1 yard line. Jesus, the game is literally on right now on AT&T sports net and I just watched this exact play and the replay showed all of that as obvious as anything I've ever seen. Of all the things that happened on that play, NOT ONE was a touch back.
