Which do you like better? I'm leaning Curb about 2/3 way into my binge reviewing of the series.

Well you need to consider some of the Seinfeld episodes are going on about 25 years old now (which is crazy to think about) and was a sitcom on NBC, they had a lot more restrictions and needed to cater to a larger audience and still wound up being as funny as it is. Curb is on HBO and can pretty much do whatever the hell they want.

That being said I love Curb and am really looking forward to the new season this fall. I'd probably have them tied to be honest.

Older than that. First episode was 1989.

There are episodes of Seinfeld funnier than Curb. But Curb Your Enthusiasm is much more consistent.

Curb FTW

Cheryl vs. Elaine?

Do you really have to ask?

The thing about Seinfeld is how well it holds up. You watch other 80s/90s sitcoms now (Cheers, Night Court, Friends, etc) and they just feel old, and simply aren't funny. Seinfeld is timeless.

Plus I've seen Seinfeld so many times, but still find new things to amuse me. For instance, Newman has a butter poster to the right of his front door.
I have at least one thing a week happen to me or come up in conversation with others where I can think of how it's exactly like a particular Seinfeld episode. [cheers]

Hold up, Cheers is as good as it gets. I'm born in '82, never saw it in real time and have watched it twice over. That show is phenomenal.

Friends is still great too, one of the best runs ever. I remember night court, great show too. Not in the same vein but close. Friends and Cheers are both crazy good.

I don't get how BigBang can take so much heat, yet Friends gets a pass. It always gets a pass. Makes no sense to me, that show was weak.

JLD is/was smoke. They downplayed her looks, probably because the writers didn't want to have to do the Jerry/Elaine thing (other than the "this, that, and the other" episode that was a one off).

Haven't watched enough Curb, but Larry reminded me of George. If I can binge it, I'll give it a try.
