Yep, coachDubs praises Riley’s coaching ability everyday. Maybe it’s due to the fact coachDubs would have to change his screen name if there was a new coaching staff.but is there any documentable evidence of somebody praising his coaching ability?
Says the guy or gal in lala land.
So you're saying it's a fact that someone tweeted their opinion on Riley? No sh**? I could use your posts as "facts" that some jackhole posted his/her opinion, too.Very informative indeed.
OP was proven wrong, you've been proven wrong and the other troll has been proven wrong.
Facts are facts.
Oh, now there's a timeline, too funny.
He also has a lot of money. He'll bet you he does.Reality is much too big and scary for you.

You use semantics to your detriment. You've done nothing in this thread (or any others for that matter), other than post your opinion, and use tweets with no statistics (no wonder you have a Cheetod*** sig pic) to support your cause.
Post some statistics to support your argument. If you can prove Riley is a good coach with his actual results from seasons of yore, you can say "I won."
but is there any documentable evidence of somebody praising his coaching ability?

You do realize this was my initial reply to you:JFC you're either retarded or retarded.
Here's the thread, right here..
Yes, just like I said in my initial response, backed up with DOCUMENTABLE EVIDENCE, just like the trolling OP asked.
You then deviated into arguing with me about someone else's stance. You are a dense, dim-witted fellow. What are the “facts” that support Riley being a successful head coach? He’s lauded for his personality - certainly not for his records as HC.
If you have facts supporting his head coaching prowess and success, just let me know.

Definitely in your own, little protected world. Snowflake.Zero to do with OP or my reply to him. Just like I initially replied to you.
Ignore time, troll along.
Bill Callahan was supposedly a genius X and O’s guy too - but if you can’t hire a successful team of coaches around you, what does that really get you?My thought on Riley is that he IS a great x's and o's coach on both sides of the ball. He knows a ton about the game in addition to being a great human being and other coaches respect that tremendously. The issue for MR IMO has been that his assistants aren't all necessarily up to his level of coaching and he lets them have too much say in how they do their jobs. He appears to me to be a "hands off" manager in contrast to Tom who was a micromanager. If you watch him during the game, he doesn't even seem to have anything to say to his coordinators. With the right assistants and coordinators that works. With a weak link or two it becomes a problem.
I love Leach’s sense of humor!I believe coach Leech said Nebraska already has a pretty good coach when asked about the Nebraska job just a couple weeks ago.

Fair. One thing I’ll say is this: it’s a lot easier to improve a team when their prior winning % was 29%. Think of it as a bell-curve. So he took a team with a 29% winning record to 54%? Great. I mean, he was 5-7 the year we hired him. In his 11th consecutive season at OSU.Don't worry @coachDubs, I got your back.
Oregon St. overall record from '83-'97 34-117-4(21.94%), there in conference record 17-88-4(15.60%). That is the 14 years prior to Mike Riley being hired. In Mike's 14 years their overall record was 93-80(53.76%), and there in conference record 58-63(47.93%). The overall record under Mike was roughly a 32% improvement and there in conference record was also a 32% improvement over the previous 14 seasons. In the 14 years prior to Mike's arrival, you can see that OSU only won 34 games, Mike eclipsed that in his 6th season at OSU with 38 wins. In the 14 years prior to Mike, they only won 17 conference games, Mike eclipsed that in his 6th season with 20 wins. Now I only looked up the 14 years prior to Mike's 14 years as a comparison. You could always go look at their history going back to the beginning, you would see that for the most part they have been a doormat for almost the entirety of there existence.
This is why some have lauded him as a great coach, and there have been those that have lauded him.

Did you watch the round table discussion they had with guest analyst coaches including Mike Riley? It was pretty obvious who the "guy" was in that room and it was Mike Riley. I'm not saying that translates necessarily to game day results. It obviously hasn't for us in many games. Similarly it didn't for Bill Callahan. Is that his assistants, his talent, his hands off approach to being a head or most likely a combination of the above? He has tremendous football knowledge and his reputation is that of a great teacher. That is one reason he has put so many guys in the NFL with a limited talent pool when he was at OSU. I know one thing and that is that IF I had a son who wanted to play on Sundays, Mike Riley is a guy I would want him to play for. It's game day. GBR!You had me until "great X's and O's" haha. additionally how many assistant coaches has he had in 25+ years of being a HC? There is only one constant in his mediocre career-- point the thumb
