So I am so pumped for tonight season finale. I am praying to God that they find something significant. All I want to do is look over at my wife and say "they ain't digging no more holes they found the treasure baby". I love this show for some reason.

No Oak heads around here dang. I am about to fire this up and find out how the Knight Templars came to America.

Well no big gold bars but that metal they found at that depth was very interesting. I am starting to buy in that this is the Inca treasure the Spanish stole and then was "lost". Might be the British stole it from the Spanish and hide it on Oak Island. I have even bought books on this island and am reading them. this show really hooked me.

I have a feeling that the treasure was buried by someone else and the British came in and dug it up.

But I am very intrigued on where this goes.

I have wasted four years watching them dig hole after hole. I tell you this though they have had a few divers on there dive down in the these hole like 200 feet and those dude IMO are nuts. No way in hell would you have talked me into diving these holes and exploring the cavities they find. Dudes have to have titanium balls.

I read the book when I was a kid.
I read about this when I was 11 or 12, in a copy of an old reader's digest my mom had held onto. (She had a small bookcase full of Reader's Digest as my aunt had bought her gift subscriptions to the magazine for over a decade.)

I had kind of forgotten about it over the years, until I saw the name Oak Island pop up on TV listings. Funny in that the two guys currently doing the digging said they were both inspired by that very same Reader's Digest article.

I am pretty sure I read a book, not a Reader's Digest, but it really does not matter. I just know the story is very cool for sure. My only question is why dont they use "ground xray" or does it not work very deep. I seem to remember oil companies using it to find pockets....

I've been watching for a long time and I love it! And they have used ground penetrating sonar.

Shows like this are hard for me to watch. I compare it to ghost hunters or Sasquatch shows. It’s like how many seasons can they get picked up without finding ghosts, Bigfoot, or treasure. I’m starting one called snipe hunters.

They found some cool stuff and I think have proved that people knew about America way before that one guy discovered the place. I am still very disappointed in the season though. We had weeks leading up to find out they hit a granite boulder. I presume this is why the show is done with.

I love it! I believe a treasure is there but I don't know if they are the ones that find it. I'll watch no matter what!

Now just have to watch next week's show where they talk about stuff they found this year that did not make the regular season show..... Like possibly the original searcher shaft from 1800....
Why that did not make the show I don't understand

I'm pretty much done. I'll check in from time to time but the show wears me out...too much build up and little delivery.
I am pretty sure that was the last season. I bet it doesn't return unless they make some HUGE discovery. By huge I mean a bunch of gold and jewels.

Aren't the same guys doing a show about a treasure hunt with a civil war ship or something?

I thought the garnet and the lead cross they found were really cool. I would consider that treasure.

Yes it looks interesting at least from a historical aspect.

I'm watching. I love the show, but they draw stuff out so much. I wonder how many of the structures they're finding in Smith's Cove are from other searchers. I'm sure they'll carbon date all the wood to differentiate searcher vs. original. The concrete and possible Roman weapons are pretty crazy.

It amazes me how much work someone went to maybe 300-400 years ago to hide something. Hopefully they'll find something good.

I also watching. What I love is they have basically blown the doors off with who really knew about North America before Columbus. Seems like it was pretty common knowledge that there was another continent out there. Know how big it was and if you could sail through it is another debate but seems like most places at least knew it was there. I am kinda pumped to see what they have found in H8.

Its nothing more than 16th century salt works. Finding simple dropped items from the people who lived there at the time.
